Crawf wont play at OM's and if Beaumont is playing then Barry Stoneham may as well have a kick with SKOB, lets turn B Section into super rules.

super rules it is then Brian !

there are a couple of others training under the westgate as well - a few friends from the town with no water no doubt

patiently awaiting the return of freddy K to this forum....
his insight, prose, repetition, and his insight has been sorely missed.

no doubt you will be swamped with B grade sides wanting to play a divvy two side with no ground!!

so can any of the OH people confirm that R Harvey is playing in 09...?
If so, how many games etc.

Just wanted to know as we (and a few other clubs) may need to start ordering/stockpiling EPO from Europe for our midfielders.

Looking at you Petrov

ML

Yes he has trained and said he will play when he can. Which will depend on his commitments with Carlton, it will probably be about 8 games.

Whisper is there is another recently retired Ex Saint keen to pull on the boots and have a run with his mates for the second half of the year.

hear on the grape vine, some old t's boys need "professional help" with their pre-season, the old school gym in kew has never been so busy, didnt know weight/cardio training was so difficult to conduct

Who might this ex-Saint be who's thinking of pulling them on? Let's not be so candid...

All reports from under the westgate point to a big year for the Dark Blues. I don't think we'll be seeing them around 7th again...

i don't know there seems to be good news coming from most camps except OT and UB and that is ominous rather than reassuring. I think we may have a very strong competition. St Bernards will be strong, have gained some, lost some but have a young list that will only improve. OH have Robert Harvey, and despite concerns over their age will be very skilled and very big. Old Carey , OMS and St Kevins have by reports lost very few and added many, add in a Beaumont at OM, a Williams at St Kevs and a Howart at Old Carey. Old Camberwell have Shane Crawford and Ben Dixon. We could be headed to one of our strongest B grade seasons in many years.

How about some tips; some crystal ball gazing

Uni Blacks
St Bernards
St Kevins
Old Carey
Old Haileybury
Old Camberwell
Old Trinity
Old Melburnians
Ormond
Hampton Rovers

Premiers. St Kevins from 3rd

Will struggle i believe without there 2 power forwards from last year

the two main power forwards may be gone but there is plenty of young enthusiastic guys waiting in the wings to have a crack. as it has been said has a very young list but inclusions of a few mature heads will help the young list settle in and mature quicker than most expect. This can only mean the benefits and experience for the young players from "the pit" will pay off in the long run for the club

the best young sides with some added experience to knock of the old veterans- though if said old veterans make finals the Gf could be a very different matter

most unlikely....reporters will print anything to attarct attention and fill their tiny little spots.I f they don't fill their spots they lose them.

same as public service depts in the 70's and 80's spending their budgets to justify getting the same the next year.

G'day lads,
now that Summer has finished it's time to return to the forum.
Firstly Zoofest, I hear that OC have a gun assistant coach this year, can you confirm?:thumbsu:
Secondly, I have heard from a very good source that R Harvey will play no more than 4 games at the most, and as of a week or so ago had showed to one session at the Badlands.
I also have heard that Dicko and Crawf wont be at OC unless Ziggy is hosting a party every Saturday evening and that Loater is a little sore.
No really big AFL names coming to B Section this year but some very good lesser light talent.

Predicitons are a waste of time this year but my ladder would be something like this.

Uni Blacks
St Bernards
Old Carey
Old Camberwell

Old Trinity
Old Haileybury
Old Melburnians
SKOB
Ormond
Hampton Rovers
