I wasnt talking up anything to tell you the truth...no one really knows how things are going to pan out until the season starts...
However one thing i do know is..
- Bernies will win B Section...and in fact might win A Section as well this year.
- The club will be promoted to the VFL next year on the back of this years success with the plan on us becoming the AFL's 18th team.
- The next 5 brownlows to be won by Ben Jordan.
- Murphys Law to be promoted to the AFL commission.
- Dour Backs/Exciting Fwds to become the big new issue in football...how do we stop them?

Over and out.
I'm sorry but Old Camberwell have already done a deal to be announced as the 18th side . This is evidenced by their recruiting policy. St Bernards will have to be satisfied with the new second tier national league to be announced in 2010.

Tips
Hampton by a whisker
Ormond
OM's home side just
OH just
OC in a canter

Tend to agree with most of those tips.

The kemptonless Uni lucky to get a soft kill first up at hampton. i wonder whether they will rememebr the game there in 2005..very interesting.

Om's by lots

OT could surprise here

New look Skob by plenty at the cage

Bernards too good for the three man team at Ormond

couldnt be arsed writing them again, so here are my tips from last week, unchanged

ML

Hampton v Blacks (08 a graders v 08 c graders... last yr bernies absolutley flogged Camberwell in a similiar game r1. tip- Blacks 15 points)
Ormond v Bernies (How do u stop robbins? Can bernies cover losing potter/pearson up forward? Tip- Bernies 19 points)
OM's V Camberwell- got no idea about this one other than lots of spruiking from OM's ppl on this thing. Very similiar to OCamb last yr after getting some big gun recruits. (tip- OCamb 38 points)
OH vOT's- This is a massive game. Old foes go at it for the first time in a few years. I would think OH just at home... but close (tip- OH 6 points)
SKOBs vOCarey- Couldn't pick against them at spaghetti. Have got 2 out of the best 5 midfielders in the comp. (tip- SKOBS 45 points)

Finally we are at Rd1 -

First 2 games are danger games for the Blacks & Bernies against the newcomers at home but with no exposed form you have to go with the A section and the Ben Jordans.
Blacks
Bernards

This game is a bit like Carl v Rich. Both sides spilling over with new talent, supporters are excited. Very interesting game but OMs love winning Rd1 - OMs
Again not really sure how good OTs are but will find out if they beat OH at Badlands - OTs
SKOB at the cage

Been a few years since we've been in B Grade so not sure on how the teams go, but on what i've read & heard i'll give it a crack...

OAFC v St Bernards - Heard the dogs have lost a few players, 'Monds by 10pts
Hampton v Uni Blacks - Blacks will want to prove something after being dropped from A grade. - Blacks by 8 goals
OM's v Old Camberwell - I'll believe the hype - OM's 32 pts
OH v OT - At home - Bloods by 18 pts
SKOB's v OC - Home ground advantage - SKOB's by 39pts

my prediction for sharpshooters after R1

6- Cultrera (OT's)
5- Voss (OH)
4- McLaughlin (StB's)
4- Robbins (Orm)

Thrown in my favourite ammos player, J.O'Keefe (SKOBs) on the 4 goal line too. After a big summer of Saturday morning spin classes and rig maintenance, Dogsnot is back prowling the forward 50 for the 1sts at Righetti.

Good luck Snot.

Blacks by 36
Snowdogs by 17
OM's by 42(we believe the hype)
OH by 12
Carey by 24

seriously ,good luck and a safe journey to all players

old t's by five goals, OH too ran out of legs, some of the players look like they have done more of a pre season down at hungry jacks, in addition very amusing to see stewie loewe do his nut mark "jacko" jackson style at 3/4 time!

What an absolute disgrace (with all respect to OT who played fantastic footy and have delivered in true Ammo style - alot of people including myself gave you no respect - so a fantastic effort today - the young player/runners will drive your success this year)

Fair-dinkum, why would CLUBS and more importantly INDIVIDUALS who have massive public respect DESTROY everything by chasing misguided goals and selfish beliefs on how they can insert a SQAURE PEG in a ROUND HOLE.

I have said it before and i will say it again - OH have fantastic youth within their ranks - they have lost alot of young guys due to the selfish attitude of their management and will continue to sink sink sink until someone starts having some kind of belief in their youth and start generating the players that will re-ignite the club.

MEMO Blood4life and OH committee - get back to the basics that have delivered the club success in previous years - prick your ego balloons or P*ss off and let passionate people get the club back to the true ethos of VAFA football!

Ex-AFL players (I hate watching my st kilda champs embarrass themselves - hate it - hate it - hate it) - give it away.

If Harvey plays another game for OH I will be very surprised - why embarrass yourself - F&CKEN RETIRE GRACEFULLY = the grounds are not even muddy yet, I will hate to see you go down.

any news from around the grounds

bernies had a gutsy win at ormond finishing the game with 17 players after some earlier sniper (as in hammys not the other sort) casualites.

heard carey finished with 16 fit players after 3 hammys, broken arm, knee, popped shoulder...? can anyone confirm?

The 08 a graders get away to good starts in 2009, no easy feat beating OH at the badlands.

Cardio- very passionate, look forward to some of the responses.

blacks over roves by 16 points
all the damage done in a 20 minute period in the 2nd qtr, apart from that was very even for the rest of the day

rovers 2 red cards, and only 2 fit players on the bench for the majority of the game..

definetly better for the run

any feedback from the ormond match?

hotly contested game between st kevins and old carey.. tight first half which saw carey go in leading at halftime with inaccurate kicking by skob and accurate kicking by carey proving to be the only difference in the first half.. a few injuries to carey then made it tough for them to get back as skevs ran all over them in the last, with ben dowd putting on an absolute clinic with six goals from the midfield... bit stiff for carey to lose some players but skob were good and with simpson and williams still to come back in the side, things are looking good down at righetti
