Yep , before being reduced to 15 fit players plus one fit one on the bench due to an n-o-b of an official. Anyway old news, will be a few interesting games this week

Was that n-o-b of an official a gentleman who was doing his job correctly by reporting to the umpires at quarter time that Carey had been playing with 19 men on the ground for parts of the first quarter? Only doing his job I would have thought, and a ripping bloke to boot.

I caught the first half of the SKOB game on the weekend. They seemed to have a pretty strong team on the field. Not sure you could blame the embarassment they served up as a result of injuries.

Definately not....Haileybury seemed to have plenty out too. All ammo sides in round 15 do I guess ... but I just dont think good run with injuries is how I would describe 2009.

As for the interchange steward (cracking fella)....bagging a bloke who puts his hands up to do a job and then actually does it seems a little rich.

No, it was the bloke who told a player who was coming onto the ground, that he had to spend the rest of the game off because he ran on in the fashion displayed below.

Still went through the gates along the boundary line, but didn't go through a set of arbitary gates behind the line, so was kept off for the rest of the game.

Funy rule that one where you can play the week after you allegedly smash someone ( apparantly benrnes have some great photos of it!).

So, if things are looking grim this week in a do or die relegation battle, there isn't a lot to lose for him is there?? Especially given he is nearing the end of his career.

He could play, be the difference this week then get 6 weeks the week after. Just doesn't seem right.

im very curious carl, as to where this judgement of hamptons culture that u have has come from.. i suspect you dont have a lot of contact hours with many of our players or officials, or get to too many of our games.
