OC ... plenty out at St Kevs
OEG...Too good to be down the bottom of B
OH....Obviously
OI.....Very good B section side. Should be flag favourites at the minute
UB....Even with the outs have plenty of quality

Nearly a third of the season gone and another round of interesting games;
Hampton Blacks vs University Blacks. The upset of the round.
Old Carey vs St Kevins. A potential blow-out.
Old Essendon vs Oakleigh. The visitors to bounce back.
MHSOB vs Old Haileybury. Could be another blow-out here.
St Bernards vs Old Ivanhoe. The Hoes to remain unbeaten.

I would love to blame the following factors:

The Wind!
The Umprires
The State of the Ground.

But unfortunately, other than the umpires, the conitions were perfect, the wind was none existent. The umpires struggled in the 2nd half, especially when the great Benny Goodman turned up.

St. Bernards played well and deserved their win.

Blacks 11 goals up at BJR at 3/4 time..great effort.

Coach Robbins decides to switch Guy Martin into the midfield..result?

Rovers kick 10 in the last quarter.

Good move to keep in mind for the future, as the boy can play!

The "other' Robbins for Blacks can seriously play as well.

Typical SKOB. Promise the world, deliver little. Club has the advantage of being one of the best APS Football schools, talented juniors, etc. Club is full of cliques, has been poorly run since the early 00's. Will be in B Grade for years.

2 APS football premierships hardly classifies them as one of the best APS football schools. Watched the game yesterday and Carey beat them all over the ground, seemed to play a full ground zone which Skob couldn't penitrate all day, McQueen sets them up very well from the back and their midfeilders gave it to their forwards on a silver platter. No depth but if they can keep that team on the park and get freemantle back they will be there abouts come september.

Typical moronic Xaverian comment, if you want cliques look no further than the biggest bunch of floggers at Barkers Rd. Worst school in the APS with shocking education results and the worst blokes in the VAFA.
Anyone that makes statements like yours after 5 rounds shows a lack of football knowledge, and when I look at your postings on the AFL boards, you think you know everything, which means you really don't know anything.

One of the best APS schools, you serious. It's only in the last three years they have been competitive and those kids would only be 20 max, of which one played yesterday. Stupid comment you tool

Wrong School Nick.

SKOB have had their cliques for years. In the 00's when SKOB were relatively strong (they still couldn't jag a flag like St. Kilda) they had a generation of players playing at other clubs b/c of the cliques. St. Bernards were choc full of SKOB's, their premiership side had 7 players who went to St. Kevin's, they wouldn't go there b/c of this & the dud recruiting guy. This is still there, Libertorie, who is a gun mid in B Grade, St. Kevin's boy, doesn't want a bar of SKOB. Played against a heaps of Bernards guys, you compare a champion like Benny Hogan to the absolute smokers at SKOB & you see why they are going nowhere on & off the field.

SKOB are still a B Grade club & miles off A Grade.

They won a flag in 97' & from a period b/w 00 & 05, they produced an AFL Premiership member every year, the only APS School to. Enjoy following Hawthorn this year you battler.:thumbsu:

You are a knob, all clubs are great places to be, and a defeat or two makes no difference. Carey also beat Blacks two weeks ago, they are looking alright. When you talk about cliques you are just smoking your own pole, it sounds like you have St Kevin's envy, which I can understand.
If St Kevin's College are producing AFL Premiership players, it means that they aren't going to the Old Boys. They will have Wallis, Libba, Casley and Conway drafted this year, after Nicholls and Cachia last year, that's 6 who will never play for SKOB.

Nick, less emotion. More facts. Your fabrication off all things is well known, I switched off when you stated last year that Luke Ball was signed from a St. Kilda board member.

If all clubs are great places to be, why do you go from 1 to another? All preseason, SKOB were talked up with this glamour midfield. They are ST Ruggling.

A club with the resources such as SKOB shouldn't be stuck in B Grade. Something amiss there, seeing OM & OT's 1st hand this year has seen how much of a gulf there is between A & B Grade. As I said, more facts Nick.

Honestly you are embarrassing yourself Panther. Lots of St Kevs boys will always play at Bernies given the location, dads played at St Bernies and loads played junior footy there. Its a bit like say Xavs guys playing there (Stapleton and Danny Jordon come to mind) Surpise surpise they were both westside boys with a connection to St Bernards.

OM looks to be competing well in A grade (please try to keep up with premier division)

And nobody at SKOB was talking themselves up....Coughlan coming donw got outsiders talking about a very good midfield (which it is). However the outs were massive (you have probably never heard of B Garvey or Dave Sheehy).

A mothers day massacare from the Panther!! Mummy didnt love you enough and Mothers day brings it all back??? A lot of anger there & too many incorrect facts to be taken seriously.
Carey were on fire on Saturday have not witnessed a team kick that many from the boundary or take one handers as on Saturday - how have they lost a game?? SKOB need to bounce back big time this week against an in form Oakleigh, but thanks for the wake up call coach.
As for Liberatore you would have to ask him why he never played - we would love to have him but as no one from his year level ever played at the old boys after u19s i am sure that made his decision to wander 2 mins down the street to have a kick a bit easier. as good as Liber is he wouldnt have stopped the panthers train on Saturday.
