Is this the B section footy thread or more a who's who in the Zoo, i don't give two craps if CC has multiple alias' or who Get Over it supports - let's just talk footy and let everyone know what happened at each of the games. Scribe, BS & a couple of others continue your good work!

OI were very good, however if they could kick straight we would have/should have been smashed by 15 goals. We did have a very youthful team in, however that is where each team needs to ensure they have great depth such as St Kevins etc etc, i do fear for OI & OH if they encounter big injuriers as our twos have accountanted for both teams and they don't seem to have a huge amount of depth, although i believe OI had their CHF out on the weekend. Big congrats to Woodsy - first game back and held Weatherley goaless, great effort.

Surely Melbourne High have lost truck loads from last years Grand Final, to beat Oakleigh in the GF and then to get towelled up in their first game in B grade by them suggest so, anyone on here able to elaborate!

cant elaborate much the LF... but what about hearing some more about carey...? did the country uni boys all go back to the bush for the long weekend?
massive games this round with skob v OI and bernards v OH

Pondering my tips for this week but still can't work out what MurphyL meant last week with the FS? "Bernards V OEG at bernards- Bernards better for 2 runs out... approaching FS indicator of 98% while OEG clearly about 65%". As I said earlier I know what BS is? Can anyone help?

I'll be first cab off the rank here for the year's toughest round for tipsters in PB. Most games to be close, lets hope.

OLD IVANHOE v ST KEVINS
OLD ESSENDON v OLD CAREY
OLD HAILEYBURY v ST BERNARDS
UNI BLACKS v MHSOB
OAKLEIGH v HAMPTON ROVERS

And Oh! Alas! Tipping a draw for Skobbers against Haileybury wasn't so wide of the mark...

BS gets five because some fool reminded him to change his tips (again)... :)

yes, FSI is full strength indicator but OEG didnt have as many out as what I thought they would.

Cant see blacks v MHSOB being close... (yes they are my lovechildren)... but then again not many tipped carey to beat blacks last round

oakleigh and HR will be a good game... i imagine they will match up relatively similiar to each other.

OI V skobs will be a tight one in the match of the round.

OEg v Carey, you couldn't tip grammar to go 0-4, could you?

im not sure Oakleigh are the real deal in terms of being a finals contender, they beat Carey who I just cant work out, Bernies beat them relatively comfortable in the end, and they smashed MHS who are just very very bad. B grade is very close though this year, more than other years.

as always, happy to be proven wrong.

Ran through the middle of the ground and collected the opponent high, nothing reportable, then a couple of OI players came to stick up for there bloke and he stupidly tried to protect himself with throwing an elbow. Young bloke and will have to learn you cant do those things. Stupid! Was told likewise after the game in no uncertain terms that it isn't acceptable.

Gee Mick, same tag as BB gave me - I smell an alias here UM & BB??

After having an ale with a HRT sponsor on Sunday, he was stating same as LF, so I'm not heading there today, just see what tribunal rules. Seems just a silly act.

Those tips look good to me, I'll have what he's having.

Dead last with three round to go i had a burst of inspiration and surged to third last. I am hoping a similar moment of clarity happens a lot earlier this year

OI
Blacks
Oakleigh
OEG
STB
i know i guaranteed one unless Blacks play their thirds. Hmm actually, even if Blacks play their thirds!!!. Lets hope the others are close to the mark.

Skob - to get over the line in match of the round, with handy inclusions of simpson and Williams. Marchessani very unlucky coming back from a knee only to do his good knee and out for the season

OC - If Dolly and Freemantle play will be very hard to beat

OH - unkucky against skobs last week and will bounce back

UB- pretty much got a bye this round

HR-Will be a very hard fought game but should just get up

OI - Should the winner be considered favourite for the flag?
Oak - Comfortably
UBla - How much?
OE - Otherwise they could be in a little trouble
St. Bern - Close but will be suited to the bigger ground

whilst the OI v SKOB will be a cracker ( going for OI at the moment, however if it is wet this could change)

But the biggest game is OAK v HR.

Lets get fair dinkum, the winner will get Premier District 'Bragging Rights' and both clubs know it..

Post 2009 HRT softly welcomed OAK into Premier B, but OAK have now become the 'Stephen Bradbury' of VAFA. After Beauy, Ormond and now HRT falling over, it looks like this hard, disciplined and well managed club from the depths of society may be the real deal.

If HR can win they can get even keel, however if it goes OAK 3-1 v HRT 1-3 then OAK can claim title.

I really respect OAK's grunt in the guts at CB's and their deep backs & forwards, who, whilst visually unattractive, really know how to lock down those 2 key sectors of the ground to allow the mid sweepers to do their thing.

I don't think top 4 will be penciled in until after round 6 or 7, and then penned in until R11 - which is a great thing.

As most of you know, I believe the success of each club stems from the resolve of the guy at the helm, that is THE PRESIDENT.

From effecting the due process of selecting and appointing a coach, sponsorship and in the end the overall behaviour of the club both on and off the field this person has gone unrecognised in VAFA circles - and there have been some absolute champions.

I would like to hereby establish the:

CARDIO CARL'S CABERNET AWARD

The award is for the President that accepts that the spillage of Cabernet is only acceptable OFF the ground, not ON it.

Not being a sancitioned competition by any means, i believe a Mr Taylor may send a bottle of his finest to the best President at the end of the season.

The rankings are based on week suspensions incurred by the Presidents club during the year.

In the event of a tie, the team (President) finishing in lowest position on the competition ladder will be the winner (as the team would perhaps be inclined to spill a bit more cabernet than those up the ladder)

Now, i have entered the current suspensions for B Grade so far, however i think i have missed maybe an OI 2 week suspension from 2nd round and I don't think anything from round 1, however if anyone can help me there.

Aslo, I believe Mr Taylor may extend his offer to Premier A as well, so if anyone from there is able to provide current suspensions so far we can get that up & running

O OLD IVANHOE - NO suspensions in 2010

Some great games this week, I'm firmly on the Krushers bandwagon!
Who will keep Weatherly under control?

SKOB just
MHSOB to bounce back, Blacks by 70!
OH at the badlands
OEG, surely they will win this week.
Oakleigh.

Good luck to all.

Maybe we can do a 1 game transfer, we will take one of your guns and you can borrow Woodsy who completely smashed him. In a side that should have won by 15 goals, he didn't get a sniff - we thought it was a pretty good effort considering the amount of ball that went down and how good a player people say he is!

Cardio and all, you are correct about Oakleigh they are a well coached team & you have to pay credit, coming up a grade and being 2-1 is a massive effort, hopefully we will have a fair few back this week and see where we sit in the pecking order.
