Not even the most hopefully of us could possibly dream of that happening somehow but I like the sound of it (albeit we are hoping to play in A next year Panther!!)

It does highlight a very important part of what all clubs need to be able to do going into A grade - and that is recruit some quality players and capitalise on the momentum that they achieve by making the jump. To reignite a topic a while back I think all clubs in B would need to top up their cattle to be competitive IMO

For all the theories floating around about how to achieve success at the top level it is this that OX's have done better than anyone else over the past 15 years!

Geez, everyone is jumping off the SKOB bandwagon and Blacks elite team is getting o love, let's revisit this thing next week when we know the make up of the 4. FWIW Plumber49, Old Carey are a top 6 team in A with their squad and if they top it up they will be very strong. However, if they have injuries to key players, then like all they wold struggle.

it's a loyalty thing for some of us b.s. explains why unca and i are midway on the tipping leader board this year. seems you're getting a little concerned about your boys though.

Skobs biggest issue in September if they don't have KPP strength. The big guys always win the big finals.

You look at the sides in A Grade, UB have Jack Watts, Ed Clarke, the Mule, Xavs have Handley, Rush. The only exception is De La but they will be bundled out the first week.

I reckon the big winner out of all the moving of positions from 2nd to 5th will probably be Old Carey itself. While Old Carey plays MHSOB, OC would watch all the drama unfold in front of them, while clubs such as St Kevins, Old Haileybury, Uni Blacks & Old Ivanhoe try to kick cricket-type scores in order to boost percentages as well as staying in the final four, so they can get the vital double chance.

If we assume that teams 2-5 win on the weekend have you figured out what the margins (points difference) will need to be for the table to move around Jas?

As an example if both SKOB and OH get up I think SKOB need to win by 3 odd goals more to gain back the % needed to get the double chance. Obviously there will be slight changes pending on the size of the score but be good to know what the rough figures are!!

Wonder if Matthew Knights would consider the same course of action....

PS Matty has really kept up with the latest AFL trends in adding the full length tough stickers to the sleeve by the looks of things - hopefully something the AMMO's don't adopt in the coming years
