Re: B Section 2010 - Part 1

Mmm, The Snag had a bad week of tipping and needs to regain some form!

Ivan from Hoe will relish the wet conditions and will show Carey who is boss. Strong bodies to the fore tomorrow

Hampton to beat the world cup ravaged Oakleigh, who were very lucky to beat MHSOB last week.

OH to avenge their earlier very narrow loss at King

St Berns...but not with a lot of confidence in low scoring wet conditions. If there is one game where OEG will lift for to avoid the dreaded double drop, this is it.

Blacks- will welcome back Robbins and coming off a good win against OH, have too much to lose to let this one slip. Players trickling back for the Blacks..Bolton not far away either.

Carey to land a few massive blows. have one of the best backers in the VAFA (you dont get players back from Blackburn etc for nothing) and will continue to rise. Note I am not suggesting money has changed hands!!!

Hampton to beat Oak...very small margin over High is worrying

SKOB to bounce back in conditions that may suit

Bernards and gee wont they enjoy it.....I can already hear the chant of double drop! double drop!

Blacks...for some reason i just keep backing them.

Should be a big crowd at the Boss tomorrow and a cracker of a game. Looking forward to it!

Rovers v Oakleigh
Ivanhoe v Carey
Essendon v St.Bernards
Haileybury v St.Kevins
MHSOB v Uni Blacks

i reckon that the bigger bodies of OH will be suited by the rain... i also reckon that the badlands is definately the biggest home ground advantage in b-grade. .. no one could confirm that dowd was in/out.... definately went over pretty hard on his ankle last week and went back on the last qtr...

Just have to wait and see on Dowd won't we _ I am sure Froggy has already had a few sleepless nights this week.

Scribe - the comparison has been made, however Jug head is the moniker Marto's been labelled with. He's not alone either. Check out #36 running around in the early game tomorrow. There's a body tucked in under that head somewhere.

Surprised to see so many people tipping Melb High over Blacks. The Uni boys have been hit hard by injury, and are perhaps not as bad as everyone thinks.. With a few starting to get back from injury they still may have some say in shaping the finals.

Three big games this week that can be termed eight-pointers and will have an effect on finals positions:
Hampton Rovers vs Oakleigh. One of the eight point games.
Old Ivanhoe vs Old Carey. Another eight point game.
Old Essendon vs St Bernards. Local derby to draw a crowd.
Old Haileybury vs St Kevins. The third eight point game.
MHSOB vs University Blacks. A walk in the park for the students.

Scribe aint from HR.

HR and Oak will both be in B Grade 2011. Not sure why you think OE or MHSOB are capable of pushing HR to C Grade.

Some interesting results. Carey seem to whipping all other challengers. With there %, they are about the only safe team IMO for finals. 6 others can raffle the other 3 spots.

What an awesome and even compo we have. 6 teams at 7-4 is amazing.

great comp this.

6 sides 7-4, with the one to win it a game off that. forget the south side "mine is bigger than yours" debate, what about OE.

How can a club that dominated B grade in 2008 (although lost the one that mattered...again) and spuiked A grade competivness in 2009 be sliding so meekly back to C grade? Must be so disapointing for those that got them to the peak to see the slide.

If it quacks like a troll, waddles like a troll and looks like a troll, it's a troll. Ignore!

Good win by both your teams today. Steve Lawrence was impressed last week saying you're ones are massively underrated.

The cold must have got to you today as there was no F.C in the best. Of course, it maybe those who report the scores have no idea.;)

You dim witted muppet.

You say you are a long time reader. (Yeah maybe the comics in the Children's Section of Corinella in the Herald Sun).

If you had any intelligence or the ability to comprehend this Thread, you would know which two teams Scribe supports. One has similar colors to HR, but isn't, and the other is Fitzroy Reds.

Eye

Put this newbie 100% in the Crap section of your Contribution Table.

Max is angry as OI got smacked by the now flag favourites.

Good one Max, well said.
Yep you can store SOCA (as not Oakleigh) in the reject box with other impersonators that have come on here - Captain Krusher, GetOverIt, Melb High Grad, etc etc Ivan the Hoe.

But having said that I don't think SOCA was even a good attempt -sounds like he doesn't even follow B Grade.

Regarding today, it was nice to get back and square the ledger (1 win each club for 2010 v Rovers) and make up somewhat for the Round 4 caning we got. A close win for us last week against a fired up MHSOB, was probably similar to what St Bernards found today with Old Essendon in their local derby. It's such a tough grade "B" - no easy games. A tipsters nightmare.

PS: What's a dorgan?

OOB

From what I saw yesterday you can put St Kevin's in the 'not good enough' category. When the heat was on they went missing, OH were all over them, very disappointing. They need some serious work on their defence and manning up, too many loose blokes all game.
Old Carey and OH would have to be favorites at the moment.
