OI 72pts (Early Favorites) To big to strong
OE 38 pts At home should account for Rovers
UB 24 pts Blacks just will need to control Voss
SB 1 pts Game of the round
Oak28 pts Surprise of the round hard to beat at home

Look forward to your prognostications for this week Frase, welcome aboard.
My tips for round 1:
OI by 45(last game for points one was winning A Section games, one just made C finals)
OEG by 50(Top 4 vs bottom 4)
OH by 21(Voss at the Badlands)
SKOB 12 (Miles Quinn debut for SKOB)
Oakleigh by 2 (heard the same OC pre season crap last year)

Excuse me Brian....is that the same Myles Quinn who was top 10 in the Sandover Medal a few years back and has played EDFL for big coin at Strathmore for the past couple of seasons?

If so, the odds of SKOB have shortened to those of Tom Burbridge to win Stawell at about 1.30 pm yesterday. 4/1-on!

Must be a decent legal eagle gig on offer at SKOB to get him across surely!

Fraser, I even spelt his name incorrectly! Myles was at St Kilda City last year after playing at Strathmore.

That makes sense - pretty sure Myles was living in Port Melbourne and St Kilda City was just down the road from home. I guess the move to TH King won't be so bad after he ran around in SFL matches last season, particularly on Peanut Farm Reserve!

Will prove to be a headache for opposition coaches if/when he does play.

Sorry. Was typing too quickly. My error. Have changed

What's your name? I'll ask your Prez to introduce us. I'll see you Round 4.

When we play carey just keep watching the scoreboard and when Haks hits double figures your face will be rather red.

And yes fans, it is that time of year again... when the tips show who has the inside running and who is optimistic and who really have no idea...

Given that my preseason has been spent at work and overseas, I'm just coming to terms with footy starting this weekend, and have absolutely no knowledge of any of the sides.

So having covered my arse for getting only one or two tips, here are my uneducated picks:

OI v MHOB
OEG v HR
OH v UBK
StK v StB
Oak v OCar

Coin toss on the last. SKOBs more in hope than in anger, I think it'll be a close one and won't be surprised if the snakepitters come out all revved up and run all over them.

Sorry fella, someones telling porky pies, Quinny has played the last two years with StKilda City , this is his 3rd year with us, he is in our leadership group, has 4 or 5 close mates at the club, trained the house down last night , will be in the ruck Saturday, he runs his own advertising/branding business, which also is a club sponsor and people need to get a life.

He wouldnt play B grade anyway the standards pox!

Righty-ho then. Mystery solved. :thumbsu:

Brian - you should receive a yellow card for sending us up the yellow brick road on that one! :D

PS - in my opinion, the standard of B grade would be the equivalent, if not superior to many SFL Division 1 matches, but let's not start a p1ssing contest over that shall we?

Will refrain from further dumb comments.

Apologies Boga & good luck in 2010.[/q

No worries.

OEG will have a very strong side in,Hard gig for rovers however they have always been a hard at it side. Its not easy to move up a division and i wish them well.

Great ruse by Brian, love him, a great poster!!!
Can anyone at the pit enlighten us to the situation with Callum Potter, reported in The Age today as pursuing a boxin gig, yet has applied to play at St B?

My tips
OI by miles
OEG easily
Us over UB by a few
Draw StK vs StB
OC easily
Good luck all!!!

Add one more to the "It pays to think before you type" list.

1) Bob - repeat offender - YELLOW CARD
2) wysisyg - ungracious comment but did retract - YELLOW CARD
3) Brian - not checking facts leading to minor hysteria and subsequent pox remark - YELLOW CARD
