Heard a rumour yesterday that mirrored that, that Parton had left Blackburn to play with his brother. Not sure if that means Carey, or another EFL club. East Burwood are rumoured to have picked up a couple of Blackburn players. Maybe there?McQueen Miscamble has signed with Blackburn to join Al.
all very interesting points - and its still early but albury has a bit of work to do still by covering their departures... i dont think wodonga at the best were that far off albury in 09. heta and thompson will also bring a physical presence unmatched by most players in the comp.
will shane paton continue with wodonga in 2009 - i know he doesnt live in wodonga (either in the bush or melbourne) so im wondering whether he will travel?
Thanks for the input GOI.
A few dart board numbers and a few questions marks I suppose.

Have heard the following;
OH: all ex Saints out
OC: McQueen Miscamble NOT back at Carey, signed in Eastern League
Blacks: Very strong, added a few.
SKOB: added a gun CHF and All Australian on baller among others.
Bernies: Hollywood back in town?
Hampton: Two ex SFL rep players along Robbins, as well as a recently delisted AFL KPP, will be strong.
Oakleigh: Throwing money at everyone to be competitive.
OEG: Biggs gone? Lots of turnover which is to be expected coming off a shocking season. Have a strong school setup so should push for finals easily.
Havent heard anything about the other 2 clubs.
believe the elevation at the blues will mean harves won't pull on the boots for o.h next year. correct weight or not?
We have definitely added a few to the list, none that match those profiles though.. not sure how accurate your mail is.
Heard Hollywood would play if Byrne does. Cardio, you seem to think you are the voice of reason here pal, you no longer are! MY mail on SKOB is they have Marchesani, whilst at OH Loewe at 42 has said enough is enough so Harves and Voss are out.
Ophidian Old Boys
Heard that Mark Coughlan was down at Skob's training on Monday night, can anyone confirm his involvement down there and is he a chance of playing there next year?
The thought of a midfield led by Dowd, Simpson, Coughlan and Marchesani would be scary for any team in A grade let alone B grade
I think there were a few players with B grade links trying for the rookie draft. Does anyone know how these went. Do you think some might head to the VAFA , or will they all play VFL or for money? I thought Coughlan was coaching somewhere, but that would make a scary midfield. Some of the recruits at various clubs seem impressive, though always at this time of year you dont know until the clearances go through. The ones at SKOBS,OE Carey, and Bernies seem to be creating the most interest, but what about Blacks, who have they picked up/lost, or Hampton or Hoes. OI have obviously lost a few. Can they cover them, or are they rather than OE going to be the big sliders?
if blacks keep their 09 list together, and add a few more they will surely be pre season favourites
my early market (going on rumour, innuendo, chinese wispers and 09 form)
Blacks 3-1
Bernies/OEG/Skob 5-1
OI/Carey 7-1
OH 15-1
Oakleigh/MHSOB 30-1
I like the odds you have our boys the Rovers!![]()
