OEG v SKOBS - coming off last weeks high, but still too strong for the skobbers
Camberwell v Caulfield - my upset of the round, Caulfield still buzzing after seeing themselves on Almost Footy Legends last night
Haileybury v Carey - too strong by half
Bernards v OM's - ditto
Beaumaris v Marcellin - could go either way

Back to fwd pocket Clinnick..
Thanks Eddie but unfortunately since you left I'm no longer confined to the forward pocket. I know you liked to play me there because you see yourself as a mentor to me and forward pocket was your favourite position when you played in the early 70's.

I am glad to see your OEG boys travelling well because I would hate for you to slip on an orange peel in a fit of rage and crush one of your players with your giant frame like you did to poor old Mikka last year.

On another note, your posts towards the Bernards boys seem a tad harsh considering you were once a Bernards schoolboy.

Keep up the good work and tell TBP I'm sorry for wasting his time and I will stick to the EDFL thread.

its pretty obvious that BS is CC
Fishburn, you are wide of the mark there, very wide. I also wouldnt be bothered writing such tripe on each game, have more important things to do. I think youll find Cardio has some sort of affiliation with Beauy, and you of all people should know I would never bag SKOB.

u idiots
nobody said bernards would've won with certain players in. just may.....may have been closer. they were outplayed last week but i dont think the boys ar too worrid at the pit. they'll bounce back.
'marcellin too strong. think they, are better than ST B and maybe OH'
again, u idiot. did u not see the comprehensive 10 goal result stb v marc a few weeks ago. marcellin should win but they have to do a lot more than beat skevs at home to prove they are no.2
Imagine they had Drizzle as well. It'd be all over. Turn it off!

Its pretty obvious he just reads the results Merc.
Gee your a moron BS. yeah we read about OEG T-Bone, how to play Sinclair etc in the results. Jealous others here know more than you.

Gee a poster who takes the time to write up his thoughts on the round instead of the usual boring Tips& Margin for us posters to read IF WE WISH!....where does Frase get his info DH?

Those of us that know Cardio, know he scouts for a couple of guys, ya DH.

How about you put something slightly intelligent or worthy of discussion on this thread or shut up ya grumpy old fool!

Typical SKOB boy, as soon as someone has a crack you put them down.

Tough week again...still getting over the Sharks let doen last week, but i'll still be there to support them. Enough of the past...see if i can keep in touch with the leaderboard for the prestigeous B section tipping comp!
This weeks tips...All the Home Teams!
Old Haileybury v Old Carey - The bloods too big and strong and "experienced" - Gee I love Mark 'Disco' Seccull.
StBernards v OM's - No joy for the Fly's boys! StB's to bounce back with a drubbing - Potter to kick 10!
Old Camberwell v Caulfield - Although bouyed by the win over Beauy, can't see them really doing it again.
Old Ess v StKevins - Wouldn't be surprised to see this one go down to the wire, but think Old Ess to continue the perfect start to the season.
Beauy v Marc - definately not that confident with this tip, but from what I hear, the beauy boys won't want to let themselves down 2 weeks in a row. Sharks to bounce back and continue their unbeaten 'home' record in tact at Sandy.

are you kidding me merc??
you must either hate OEG bcz you envy them...or??
got a reason for them to lose?
Apologies for tipping my own team to win on the w-e little lamby! You blokes are obvious favs but my guys will have a crack tomorrow.

If you are worried about one anonymous bloke tipping against your side i am tipping you have some insecurity problem. Maybe that explains the September curse.......

Beauy are better than that, lets hope they regroup.

On another issue its time the vafa looked into the role of the runners. Some of the runners evidendtly think the have licence to block players, argue with opp/ players and stay on the ground far too long.Umpires should toughen up on these on field coaches, they should be watched very closely.

The umpires should probably learn how to umpire properly than worry about runners. Watched the Old Essendon v St Kevin's game - the umpiring was abolutely terrible. The old ump was a disgrace - and would've awarded at least 30 of Essendon's 40 free kicks for the day. It was a farce in the end. 40 to 18 for the match.

None the less, it was a terrific contest in the wet conditions with Essendon hitting the front for the first time with about four minutes remaining.

Was a great physical contest all day in terrible conditions, the ground was about 2 inches under water right down the centre corridor.

However I think OEG having almost double SKOBS scoring shots was true indication of how the game was played.

SKOBS looked shattered after the game, you almost felt sorry for them... almost

Fair to say if you spent the day counting free kicks then you went to the game looking for something to whinge about. More scoring shots in every quarter tells the story, 9 to 3 after half time. Condos missed 2 sitters from the goalsquare in the 1st quarter and Baddeley missed 2 from the goalsquare in the last. I don't think the umpires affected the result.
