Call it 'knee-jerk' but I'm getting the feeling that the boys mean business, and I reckon we mean business baby!

Wins at AAMI and the SCG. Into the Top 4.

Young kids really putting their hands up. Shiels, Savage, Puopolo, Suckling, Bruest.

Shiels
Franklin :thumbsu:
Hodge getting better with every game :D

Able to win games the past two weeks with little impact from Mitch.

Birchall better.

Bailey showed signs, and hopefully will be fine for next week.

Yep, dont really like saying this early, but the way we have just demolished Syd at the SCG today, we mean business. The kids are playing superbly and the senior blokes are getting a role on.

Its feeling more and more like 08. Clarko throwing blokes around and its refreshed the side.

Still early, But here come the HAWKS!!!! Geel and Coll looking over their shoulders now!

We'd just been going through the motions early into the season then for whatever reason, we turned it all around at 1/4 time against the Saints.

What we saw today was 08 Hawks. Given the confidence we've gained over the last 2 games, you would suggest it's here to stay.

Certainly won't be booking any holidays in September.

BIG impact I believe has come from the injection of youth. Just look at how many new faces are in the team and holding down a spot compared to previous years.

I think to a degree, Clarko has relied too much on the experienced Premiership players to play out his game plan when some of them for one reason or another are just not up to it. To a degree there was an attempt last year to shake things up after our disastrous start, but from what I recall, too few got dropped and just ended up bouncing back in the next week anyway.

This year it seems he has finally relented, dropped the guys who deserved it and kept them out (Young, Ellis) and taken a risk on some of the younger blokes after they've been banging down the door week in week out at Box Hill. And we are now starting to get the dividends.

Super impressed with what all the new guys have brought to the table. Pace, tackling pressure, great awareness, good decision making, tough in the contests and an almost forgotten ingredient, enthuisiam! Something I think has been missing the past couple of years with the "older" blokes.

Promising signs indeed. :thumbsu:

I almost had to get new underpants when i saw Cyril and Breust both pressuring in the forward line. We missed that when Ossie, Rioli and Breust weren't playing

With this type of football being played I honestly don't feel too threatened by the Carltons and the Essendons and if we win those types of games we should make top 4. The only real chalengges we have this year are Geelong, Collingwood, Carton, Essednon and Fre at Patersons. But even if we lose all of those we still finish with 15 wins.

Good times ahead!

Oh so very excited!!!

The Ddefence is gelling and becoming settled, Schoey really stood up against Sydney today.

The midfield is starting to get its grunt on

And the forwards pressure is getting stronger by the game.

And as for the young players.........:D:cool::):thumbsu::D:cool::):thumbsu: What more do i have to say??????

Don't want to get ahead of myself but after the doggies were absolutely annihilated by West Coast, we are just gonna keep their awful season going.

GO HAWKERS!!!!

Not on the bangwagon yet.

I like the signs that we are showing but it is still too early to say this is like 08 when we still haven't proven ourselves against Geelong and Collingwood.

You do recall that in 2008 we lost to Geelong, St Kilda and Bulldogs in the regular season. Just saying.

Yes let's not get ahead of ourselves but also let's not downplay the inevitable.:D
