Very glad he isn't our problem anymore...

Anybody who doesn't want to play for our club should be shown the door. Just a shame we got nothing in return.

In reality, we got his true value in return, nothing.

Those loopy handballs have gotten worse.

I was keen on Houli for a fair while. Maybe it's easier to see how average he is without rose coloured glasses, I dunno, but he was worse than usual last night.

Soft, disinterested, hesitant, slow, weak.

He wasn't worse than usual, he was the same as usual. Massive case of rose coloured glasses.

I think we came out of this deal the winners.

I would have been happy for us to give Richmond a pick to take him.

Is borderline Richmond best 22, nowhere near it at Essendon.

He may be a 100 game player with the Tigers, but there is no way in hell he was even going to crack into the bombers side with so many ahead of him and more younger guys coming up every year.

I agree with others that he can find the ball but like last year he constantly turns it over, makes poor choices - kicking to a 1-3 situation - and seems to lack intensity when defending.

Happy for the bloke that he can continue his career, but there is no place for him in the red and black.

It also shows how far ahead of Richmond we are. Houli - 36th best player at Essendon, 20th best player at Richmond. Building depth.

In the Richmond thread a couple of people getting fired up because someone called him W.O.G. :D:D

It was quite interesting that everytime Bachar came up with the ball the commentators were quick to jump on and say he's a good kick.

It was a really poor game though last night, just a lot of dumb turnovers from him.

...
Soft, disinterested, hesitant, slow, weak.

This. I guess because we rarely saw him, I'd forgotten how soft he is. They've got a few contest shirkers in the midfield. Will be interesting to see how many of them survive.

No sighted when the heat was on, doubled his possessions in the last 1/4 when the game was open. Usual game, was ok in parts but other parts stayed the same.

I know some on here didn't like him but I was a fan. Good to see him starting well for Richmond. :thumbsu:

Here's hoping this is the move he had to make to kickstart his career.

Pfft - Like a rat off a ship

Couldnt give a shit whether he does well or poorly, but from what I saw he still sux (That short passing is dead set pathetic)

Same bad habits...gets the ball, leans back and rushes his kick, which ends up with no power behind it.

Just needs to take a a few steps more to balance himself and lean over the kick.

But habits will be habits...

Turned it over more often than not last night, wasn't overly impressive at all.

Will grow in confidence as the season progresses though, so should improve.

Haha, I also remember a similar thread about this time last year for McPhee.

And hasn't he just been terrific...

Shit player, shit bloke. Thankfully Fremantle has been a bit of a dumping ground for all our waste over the years, so for that we are grateful. :)

How's the future Brownlow medallist, Kepler Bradley going?

Its strange how people change their tune. Many Bomber fans were unhappy when he left. From a Richmond perspective, I will give him more than one game before I pass judgement but at least we got him for nothing...

...and many were happy when he left. Just like he did with us, he will divide the opinions of Richmond supporters as well.

I was disappointed to see him go as I thought he might not have had the tutelage he required under Knights, but he looks much the player he was at the bombers, he will do very good things followed by incredibly poor things. After 5 preseasons he still doesn't chase or put his head over it often enough, still loops handballs putting team mates under pressure and still has poor decision making.

I was a fan early on but he has not changed one bit since his first game.

He's soft, decision making is no good and panics when he gets the ball. Should suit Richmond to a tee.

Our PSD pick in Hibberd looks a better player already.

I feel so special to be quoted 4 times!

Who do Essendon have on their list that can nullify a Hodge or a Judd.
