Based on his present form he has deserved a game every week for us. Hardwick has obviously instilled belief into him and to be fair he has been pretty solid.
We was really good in our loss to Port.
He is never going to be a superstar but hey he would be in most teams best 22..
I am happy to have him at the Tigers after initially being farily dubious on him..:thumbsu:

Yeah and the week before he lost you the game before it started, swings & roundabouts!

Biggest thing I've ever had against Bach was his w***er fans (both here & Richmond) claiming he was (or would be) elite & was stiffed at the selection table etc etc.

You know what annoys me? People who cannot let go and constantly bag him out despite him performing very well this year (and in previous years).

He left us. He is a good player. He will be a better player. He could have slotted in well in our team but he can and is being covered. Deal with it. Move on.

Must have missed this bit.

By my reckoning he has had

3 poor games
4 average to good games
3 very good games.

Think at EFC he would have one average game, one good to very good game and then a poor game - And be dropped after the poor game.

Richmond is definitely showing more patience towards Houli - Probably to be expected when you bring a player to your club.

Its the same people who probably only saw him play a handful of games and jumped on the 2-3 errors, yet for other players they defend them forever. S20 was looking forward to Ricky Dyson's 2011 in the preseaon, say no more.

Look he will be like Ted Richards, he will play some good footy and some ordinary footy as that's the player he is. Good enough to be the 15th to 22nd player on most mid range lists but maybe short of being in the best 22 of a top 4 side.
To use a Jack Dyer phrase he is a good ordinary player.

I've only seen him play 3 games for Richmond and he's coughed up about 8 or 10 goals and shat himself under the high-ball 4 times! Winner of a player.

Browne will IMHO be a better footballer by the end of Bachar's current contract.

I have just about had enough.

This bloke turned his back on the club. Fact
He was not prepared to listen and reason with James Hird. Fact
Decided that he would go to a rival club. Fact
Showed no ticker when he was with essendon. Fact

Yet people want to have a thread on this board about a piss-ant, who had a shocking ego, for no reason, much in the John call me jack way, who no longer plays for this club, it makes me sick, and I wish him no luck at Richmond.

Knights may have been wrong not to play him, but knights is gone, and he still went.

Bachar can go to Richmond and fit in with the failures over there.

Could say the exact same things about Stanton's season.

Why are you talking about Browne?

Having watched Alex Browne last year nearly a dozen times, you are sorely deluded. he was almost the luckiest player in the TAC to be drafted and it was done essentailly on the back of 4 goals in the first half of a final.
Very limited player and it was a comment of extreme ignorance to rate him higher than Houli.

When has Stanton shat himself?

You may recall the reason he missed the Brisbane game ... He did that twice last night, taking the mark once.

More a point on goals conceeded

Anzac day, fumbles/brushed off easily and doesnt bother to chase. Shat himself/ make no effort, no real differnce still cost about 4 goals that day. Rd 1 had a kick smothered and the oppostion kicked a goal.
Its easy to be selective and highlight mistakes in defence that cost goals. Fletcher's last 2 games, Hardingham last night. Ridiculous to tally up these things because they happen to all sides every week.

I take your point about how silly it is to tally those, but that post wreaks of The House tallying Slattery's goals against (Le Cras kicked 4, Slattery missed a tackle and had two turnovers = 7 goals he cost us).

Bachar's elite delivery into the forward fifty is quite useful. Hopefully once Myers enters the middle he can replicate that for us.

Still need to find a player on the wing. Colyer does not do too much and I am unsure about Prismall still.

Kicking inside 50 has been a problem all year (not overly helped by our forwards though).

Just most be confusing Bachar with Slattery.

Bachar would be good right now at least he would get rid of that dud from the team.

Good post LC.

Being trying to get the debate away from Stanton's kicking - he turns it over like all players - but to the other parts of a player's game - Your first sentence is a good analysis.

lol.

Pickpocketed by Crameri......

They are calling for him to be traded on the Richmond board.
