Are we?

His main role now is to be effective and to mentor an inexperienced backline. Quite happy if he only plays home games.
Well my hopes of him recapturing some sembelence of what he once was have been dashed by reality and based on our list and what our objectives are, i'm OK with him not playing and giving someone else a chance. I think Spurr can manage the leadership and organisation in the backline on matchday and the coaches during the week. That's just my opinion though.

Grey is in to close down opponents and to be an enforcer for us. He succeeds Spurr, with the alternative being Hughes or perhaps someone like Duman (based on nothing much but have high hopes for him)
Big difference being Spurr is always coming off the field bruised and bloodied - Brady's opponents will be the ones coming off.

We need to address this as this is a massive area of concern. Players like Johnson/Spurr/Ibbotson/ Dawson and to a lesser extent Sutcliffe are all average users of the ball.
Johnson looks lost out there and every time we get the ball it looks like it's going to be a TO! 6 goals were conceded alone in the first Qtr from Turnovers.

Please Ross bring the kids in again and play Balic, Collins, Crozier and Grey! Rejuvenate the team and give some effort and show some heart!

Replace Ibbo with someone else, grey or Balic. We have given up 66 points in Turnovers out of a possible 80!

Ibbo given up 2 of those goals.

This is horrendous!

Ibbotson. Dawson. Suttcliffe. Hamling. Spurr. and this year Johnson.

Way too many players that can't kick in the back line.

We leak goals (5 in the first qtr alone) when we try to kick backwards and across.

You can carry a couple but not the entire defense.
