I was being very particular with who I killed, no one who was backing me, and no one who was looking suss. There was always someone alive to push the lynch on, and always people to become more and more convinced that I was confirmed good. Getting Cayz to protect me almost sealed it.

i figured this was your method so i kept agreeing with your thoughts and who you wanted to lynch to try avoid getting myself killed.

My worry was - and this is how I would have played the blackmail role - is make someone vote for themselves, and seer them the same night. If the seer shows up they're SK, or the other evil group, or whatever, use that as a way to get them lynched and out of the way, particularly with three roles unkillable at night.

Otherwise making someone blackmail themselves D1 is useless if you don't know their role.

No it's not - if the role was adjudicated the way it was intended, that is the target is not allowed to confirm they have been blackmailed, you would have been dead Day 1.

Revealing the following day is one thing, I'm talking about liking posts and hinting at what had transpired - before that occurred you had several votes, including your own.

You're missing the part where I started that bandwagon by voting for myself at the start of the day. If I hadn't been able to like posts suggesting I had been blackmailed I would have stayed in the background then drifted in at the end of the day.

Regardless, I played it off as sussing out who was evil and changed my vote to Cayz, at which point most jumped off. I could have jumped back on again at the end of the day and not died.

And you're missing the part where our blackmail targetting and rationale was sound, right up until you were permitted to tell people - you questioning our reasoning is what started this discussion.

you should have been mod killed when you told cayz to watch out for who you switch your vote to at the end of the day.

I'm not questioning the rationale, I'm questioning your logic I was dead. No one would have voted for me - apart from Mafia - if I had voted for myself last minute instead of at the start.

I like the role, as you said it was the first time it had really gotten a run past N1.

I didn't reveal the blackmail then, I clarified with Millky what I could and couldn't say before I voted though, yes.

I was wondering this, and in fact think I may have asked it at some point of you, but can't remember your response.. Actually no I was asking about the paranoid gun owner.

Only issue with that is if you make someone vote for themselves and the reason be "I hate being the Godfather". Then there's no chance they survive that. Gotta give them some scope to skill their way out.
