Backmen in the PSD?

Does anybody know which backmen are up for grabs in the PSD? i reckon we should try to target a backmen as that is where we really lack and where we really need some experience. we have adequate cover down forward and in the midfield with the new signing of Judd and Hadley in case of an injury... for next season at least any way. So, are there any backmen up for grabs in this year's PSD?

Not sure that there will be alot of quality in this years draft, let alone backmen. We'll just wait and see how it unfolds.

Robert Haddrill
Ryan Ferguson

Those 2 are the only ones that I can think of off the top of my hear.

Ferguson would be of no real value as he has never been able to hold down a key position, as he doesn't have a big enough body for that role.

Haddrill is an interesting one. IIRC, Fev actually rated him as the best/toughest defender that he has had to play on. Unfortunately, has had injuries over the last few seasons. I wouldn't take him, unless he had a medical and we were sure that he was going to get over the injuries.

Considering he couldn't find a spot in front of Holland, Carroll, bizzell and Bell I find this quite hilarious

Given the absolute lack of ANYTHING half decent in this year's PSD, unless there is a kid we rated highly who missed out in the ND somehow, I think we'll end up taking Haddrill.

It might be a complete and utter failure, but he'll only be given a one year contract and if it pays off then it'd be great. If it doesn't, we really haven't lost a lot given we're not exactly inundated with quality options this year.
