Years ago at crown i was playing 2/3
My stack was at about 6,700.
I was small blind and i wake up with aces.
I re raised and got 2 flat calls.
flop comes A 3 5. I check, P2 raise, P3 call, I reraise call call.
Turn 4. I raise P2 calls, P3 re raises, I call P2 folds.
River 4. I raise P3 reraises i'm all in he calls.
I stand up show aces, he stands up and shows 4s.
Not as bad but definitely a bigger loss.

Coincedently the monday after i went to our pub poker league and saw the bloke there for the first time. He shouted me a drink i said, "well done, 1k pot."
He said na mate i took about 1800 from the pot.
I felt even *ing worse!!!!!!!!!
I was 18 and learning the game....

Ohh feel so sick just repeating the story lol

God, I'm running good in this tournament. 2nd time I've sucked out this tourney, first with 33 v aa (only had like 8BB so I shoved un-opened pot from cut-off, called by SB.

It's remarkable how tournaments are better when you actually get legitimate hands. Deliberately made the raise a big shove to make it look like I had AK

Several hands later, Russian player moves all in with K2 suited (again) I follow with AQ. Flop is K2Q, no improvement. Go suck a ********.

Now if the Russian shove bot had something like 10 - 15 BB (or anything less), a K2s shove with no one raising in front of him is exactly what I would do. I actually prefer to get it in with K2s then A2o because your so much less likely to be dominated by a calling hand (ie opponent would only likely call with AK, KQ, KJ, K10 and nothing else, where as Ax is far more likey to call).

Now the hand above of K2s vs AQo you aren't actually that far ahead, as it's ~60/40 (as in you win 60% of the time, him 40% of the time). note - something like AK vs A2 is 70/30 in AK favor.

Remember in tournament all ins, you usually get knocked out with the best hand. that's just poker

Was at the casino a few weeks ago. I'm not a huge gambler. Started with $100, built up to $250. Then I pick up a pair of 6s. Flop comes down 6, 6, 8. The other guy bets $100, I just call. Next card is a Jack, he goes all in. I call. He shows a pair of 8s. Then a ******* 8 comes on the river. FMD.

God, I'm running good in this tournament. 2nd time I've sucked out this tourney, first with 33 v aa (only had like 8BB so I shoved un-opened pot from cut-off, called by SB.

Did the same. 10BB left, never folding A7 on the button in this spot.

Ax shove from the button with 10 BB is pretty standard. Right move.

Can i ask how you got so short stacked in the first place? might be more beneficial to look at the hands that got your stack down opposed to showing the suck outs with a short stack
