Great game

Close all night. I was on the edge of my seat. I was barracking for the Cats, and I thought half way through the third quarter, they were just doing enough.

Not pretty football Not great skills, but tight and tough.

The curse continues.

thanks for your kind words Dan24 and Dutchman - i appreciate that. I was pretty upset and dissapointed, but we can look foward to a few good years ahead. Lets hope the Roos-Bombers game is a classic

Not quite turning into a classic is the Ess/Nth game, be kind to the northeners guys, i have a feeling they might appreciate it.
Re the Hawks, GCG, sorry in a way. As Happy Hawker said it was an UGLY game. I was worried early but as soon as it became close i had a feeling we would win. Just on history between the clubs.

I dont think the Catters went in right, Stoneham wasnt fit, they maybe should have kept Baldy in the side. Not alot between the sides, we just have the better talls. Still with wojoinski/Spriggs/Clarke/Scarlett/Snell and some others there is a bright future ahead if you can get someone to hold CHF and CHB.

your right grendel it was a very good match, i didn'think omitting Baldwin was a wise decision, but on the whole, i'm very happy with Mark Thompson's first year as coach. he's done a very good job, but i hope we get Fraser Gehrig and Peter Vardy, they would give a team a big lift. But i take my hat off to the Hawks, they also could be a great time in a couple of years
