Bad luck Hawks

Once again the luckiest team to ever get out on the park prevails. I honestly could not believe the bounces favouring Essendon every bloody time! Bomber fans cannot under any circumstances deny they are blessed with freakish luck. Those frees (Martin Ellis is an Essendon supporter I swear to God), those bounces, that bloody post! All the talk was about the injuries to Mercuri and Hird, what about Barker, Greene and Dixon?

I feel terribly sorry for all the Hawks fans. I've always wondered how painful it would be to have that happen because I can't remember 1992 all that well, the last time we had a real chance. Well done Hawks, you were dudded by the umps and the ball just would not run your way the whole match. You'll have your day.

Yep...we were very unlucky...hit the post twice, the umpiring, injuries etc.

But to say we were robbed is too strong a word - it was a fantastic game and let's take nothing away from that, or the Bombers - their 2nd quarter was just too good.

But the same thing happened against North last year - this time the hurt is a lot greater though

I don't think it will sink in until next week - but to think we will have to wait 12 months at the very least to be that close to a GF (and who knows, it may be longer)....well it's very hard to take.
