One word .. Good Ridance - perhaps you need another outlet - try the Eagles.

Never a positive word to say about Freo. I can appreciate disappointment, anger and being disatisfied with performances but balance and objectiveness and give credit with credit due.
Jarman, come join a real club...you won't need a decade of therapy. Freo shark is used to accepting mediocraty - dockers & sharks

Not attempting to hijack this thread but Neil Craig is not some football unknown, despite Victorian media attempts to present him this way. His football pedigree in SA is top shelf.
If Freo has an ex WA champion and state player who has taken a top WAFL team to a premiership and now has several years of well respected assistant coaching experience at Freo - by all means give CC the boot and appoint him.
They tried with Nesham and it was horrible. Fremantle are obtaining a culture not unlike St Kilda and Footscray. The 1 premiership syndrome and wooden spoons in the cupboard!

Wonder what Des did to get the treatment dished out to him tonight. He will need therapy after tonights game. From what I saw he handled to events well. Congratulations Des for not going absolutly ballistic.
Sorry dugrene but I've missed your point. What are you congratulating him on? 11 possessions and 5 frees against for poorly executed high tackles (most of them inside attacking 50) is a terrible performance from someone on good money who should have been fired up after 2 games out through suspension.

Signing an expat will have everyone's spirits lifted

FFC did it in 2002 - hedland

2004 - Josh, blacky and Schoey

2005- ???
Every year we sign a player/s who are supposed to be the missing link and lift our expectations, but in the end make little difference. If there is a quality player available hopefully we will trade a current Freo player because we have traded away far too many draft picks. We have seen this year the value of youth with Crowley, Dodd, Mundy and Peake having fantastic seasons. Since Schwab arrived at the end of 2001 we have traded away picks 1, 3, 11, 20, 21, 27, 36 and 43. If we were sitting in the top 4 those decisions would be justified, but considering where we are on the table it would have been better to keep a lot of those picks.

Des didn't have a great night, but i am very happy with the new aggresive side of his game. Sure he still has brain freezers but at least he looks interested now and that i can cope with

Des Headland was NOT victimised last night, he was simply pathetic. He gave away some blatant free kicks, no tackles, and added NOTHING to the team. He was another passenger. Again. In an important game. We were playing to get into the finals for f*^$'s sake!

He is so very overrated. He plays a good game once in every 5. We gave away Adam Mcphee to get him. Freo needs to look at getting players who will win them games of football, not acting as a service to bring home west aussies who are *about* good enough to play in the AFL

Agree - Dessie boy is so overrated. I shudder on the thought that we gave away McPhee to get him.

I have no doubt that CC will have his plan to get another "great hope" to the club. Heaven help us.
