Why? Seems like a good bloke but good blokes don't win football games or develop the right culture in a club. He had to go and more heads will roll. The club needs to make a statement and it STARTS with this.

This is what interests me the most. Bailey was always gone but who takes over for the final 5 games is anybodies guess. Surely they turn to Viney.... maybe Scott West?
 
West no chance. Will go to the most experienced assistant coach ala Mark Riley.

That leaves Viney, Royal or Williams (think all those Sandy premierships).

Really? You really can't believe that he got the sack? Get your head out of the sand. He deserved to go and we all know it. He took us backwards this year and we were falling fast.
 
There goes season 2011.

It had to happen but it doesn't sit well with me.

We need a major overhaul of our coaching department IMO.

The players have Dean's blood on their hands. Metaphorically speaking.

A lot of people are suggesting he is in the box seat to take over. I'd be more then happy with that decision.
 
whole family is dees supporters so i dont like seeing them down but i think he had to go! and from what i can see green should step down too!
 
Thank christ for that. 2 years overdue, but better late than never.

Unlike Craig, no other clubs will be clammering for Bailey's services. He'll go down as the most incompetent coach to ever have 4 years at a club.

My love for the club has been restored after 4 years of ambivelence. Now hopefully the other perpetrators of our tanking years will also be shown the door. Au revoir Schwab and Connolly.

Sacking a coach with 5 weeks to go in the season only creates instability imo. As the players pointed out, it wasnt Baileys fault that the players cbf manning up. Left Hawkins in the goal square for a couple of minutes.

I rekon Green shudve been demoted first:p has done nothing this year to warrant the captaincy
