I must be in the minority and sure I am older than most of you on here (in my 50's). The guy makes a living on social media. He is constantly on it...half naked. Constantly promoting himself. Shirtless with abs is his brand. So this whole media pressure line is total bulltish from my perspective.
For mine (and I don't know the bloke from a bar of soap), he's an old fashioned w@nker. Do kids even use that term these days? A flog. A d1ckhead. A well paid one but nonetheless, still a w@nker.
And this whole mental health card he's played...I take extreme offence at. I assert that he got caught doing coke (or whatever) and played the mental health card. Rankine playing that card was also offensive.
I'm not saying he needs to be penalised or censured. I don't get easily offended and also understand most footballers are not role models. And I make sure my kids understand that. FFS, I played ammos for years and have seen what half the Melbourne legal community gets up to on a Saturday night. Including KC's and partners in the largest law firms. Or at least what they used to get up to when they were in their 20's. Bailey being a d1ckhead and doing "rec drugs" is neither here nor there for me. The mental health card is where he crossed the line...for mine.
He can play football though. Good player. Excellent athlete.
I think Smiths mental issues are genuine.
Bit of a fruit loop.
