Haha-am assuming you are having a lend. As in- what negative impact? We are into a prelim- he has improved our team. That’s called having a positive impact. Where did you have Geelong on the ladder pre season? Hardly anyone had us doing this well.
He can be a bit of a goose, but he’s our goose and we are happy to have him. If you think we are playing like a team that is ‘disrupted’, well- specsavers awaits.

I have no doubt that every club in the league brushes player behaviour under the rug. I also don’t have an issue with that, and believe we as footy fans only need to know about things if they overstep the mark of acceptable or legal behaviour.

EDIT: I know a few mid-20s women who hang out in AFL circles and I have heard plenty of stories about players, including about a player still in this year’s finals sending unsolicited dick pics to random women on Instagram.

There’s no brushing under the rug when a bloke flat out goes at a woman in plain view of the media world.

My most horrible experience learning of an issue occurred after the 95 grand final.
The poor woman was ridiculed, ignored by the cops and treated like a s**t
Her father was livid but never supported in getting justice
And the alleged perpetrator is a still relevant

Regarding today’s abuse of a female afl accredited media representative, just taking photos at an open training session.
Caro will no doubt give this legs, Edmonds already has.
Domestic Violence groups will come out, the AFLW.
No doubt.

Her gender should have nothing to do with it. He’s done it before literally a month ago to a male one at the airport. Abused a photographer taking a snap of him. Different context perhaps - and in both cases he should have just kept his mouth shut like a normal person would - but her gender is irrelevant he hasn’t targeted a female because she’s female.

The most ridiculed media figure on this website I would argue, pound for pound, is Caroline Wilson. No one defends the criticism because she’s female. Is some of it fair? Probably, like a lot of journos she comes up with some terrible takes. But just ‘being female’ isn’t a reason to defend someone from an interaction when it would be an inappropriate interaction anyway

I’m a fairly tall male amateur photographer, do you think he’d say that to me? I’m guess the chances are far lower.

And “backing it up where it matters, on the field” means what? That you’re allowed to abuse people doing their job?
