Exactly. A POS. It’s only a matter of time before the Geelong people realise it.What a disrespectful POS he is. I don’t get it. She is just doing her job. Just like he is supposed to be doing his.
You can’t be disrespecting, intimidating or bullying people in their work place like Bailey just did. But yeah sure, no problem here says the AFL.

no problem here says the AFL.

Does this mean we can add it to all the other conspiracies of why Geelong is currently rorting the system?

They probably already do. There will be a point of time though where his output on the field isn't worth putting up with the rest of it.Exactly. A POS. It’s only a matter of time before the Geelong people realise it.
He’s a flog. The more he talks the more people will realise.
Aker was 30 when he left Brisbane. If Smith stars in the same way then I'm sure we will happily let him spend his twilight years at the Doggies like Aker. They probably already do. There will be a point of time though where his output on the field isn't worth putting up with the rest of it.
Someone mentioned Aker previously in this thread and that is good example.
Noticed no one replied to this one. Am I wrong? Is Bailey going to improve his behaviour without any consequence being enforced? I’m not just talking about a suspension, but when the issue gets brushed aside publicly, it suggests to him and others that his behaviour is acceptable.Bailey needs punishment not for the sake of the lady in question, the AFL or Australia.
He needs it for himself.

I don't know if suspending him is the right call or not, but there's no way we'd do it during a final. It's a dirty game like that sometimes. There's some serious overreacting and some brushing it off, which I'm guilty of myself, but it shouldn't be accepted the more i think about it, he needs to grow up, it's a team game, we don't need this, right now. If that was someone in my family treated like that I'd be pretty dirty.Noticed no one replied to this one. Am I wrong? Is Bailey going to improve his behaviour without any consequence being enforced? I am not shocked that Geelong didn’t seek to punish him, but I am shocked that the AFL didn’t decide to step in and at least fine him. He flipped the bird (for like the 20th time) to someone doing their job and this time it was ignored. Lachie Neale literally just copped a fine for it. Not to mention losing the plot and hurling abuse.I don't know if suspending him is the right call or not, but there's no way we'd do it during a final. It's a dirty game like that sometimes. Be interesting to know what else has been brushed under the rug, considering the CEO of the AFL felt compelled to drive to his house to give him a pep talk.

He’s what ,the AFLs most followed player (instagram) isn’t he?
Got a bit of the buddy’s around smiths antics about it.
-The AFL love their hero’s and will do ANYTHING to keep them as such
That said buddy genuinely seems like a decent bloke who enjoyed himself off the field but didn’t always shunned the spotlight
Smiff seems to enjoy the limelight both on and off the field
Just thinking about this again, he absolutely deserves to miss the prelim for thisProbably deserves to be dropped for the prelim final because of it. My feelings may change on that though at around 10.15 on Friday night
AbsolutelyIf he didn’t look like some Byron Bay surf model, no one would give his antics a second glance. He loves the attention.
Some of you are really overthinking this. Bailey is a simpleton. And a total w@nker. Engaging his brain is simply not an option for him. Same as when he’s out having a few beers and his mates hand him a bag. Simply can’t think through consequences. What u don’t know is whether he is dumb as dog sh1t or whether he’s a petulant little fck with no understanding of what is right or wrong.
So many couldn't see i was being sarcastic but the irony is the people in charge of running this competition/game/sport or whatever it is meant to be deemed there actually was nothing to see here !?!?Was it anything homophobic, racist, Islamaphobic or Anti-Semetic??
If it was just threatening her and making her feel unsafe for just doing her job then probably nothing to see here.
If it was anything from the top line though then look out, this will be a 100 page thread in no time.
What worm mate? We are in a preliminary final, smith is an all Australian and coach’s association MVP and he’s just had a run in with a photographer that will probably get handled via a fine and someone at the club telling him to get his act together.
He hasn’t brought the club to its knees.
I think the general response from most of us has been a strong acceptance that he’s a knob. There’s not a lot that I find especially likeable about him. He’s not the first cats player to fit that description - I loved Scarlett as a player but he was a dickhead. If I remember rightly Travis Varcoe was a bit of a dickhead very early on in his career and grew out of it, maybe Smith might, maybe he won’t. Ideally he won’t get the ‘you’re good so you can keep being one’ treatment and Dangerfield (yes people don’t like him but he’s not an actual dickhead) or someone else will tall him to wake up to himself
). But they quickly pull them back into line. Hence the Stengel question.
