For a poster who was having a giggle at Dogs fans' issues during trade week last year, you don't seem to be overly appreciative of a bit coming back.

I don’t see people defending him. I think every Cats fan - I’m certainly one of them - thinks he needs to stop carrying on like a Prima Donna when there’s a camera on him. Someone today was just doing their job and he got the shits about it and swore at her over it. It was inappropriate and he shouldn’t have done it. I don’t see what defence there is in that.

There is always the counter argument of perspective, though, and he hasn’t bashed anyone or taken drugs again or committed a crime, and he more than probably any other player - and yes we all acknowledge he brings this on himself - gets a lot of his comeuppance by virtue of what he gets back on social media and from opposition fans on a regular basis.

Except I don't justify the actions. I universally condemn them and said I hope all parties (Smith, GFC and AFL house) help him so that he handles the pressure of public scrutiny better. I have repeatedly said the woman has done nothing wrong.

On a separate note I can also comment on factors that are part of the problem rather than the solution. I am happy to call out trolls chuckling "Are you getting a feeling of dread about Smith at the club" in the same post where I say Smith's behaviour wasn't good enough.
