Depends on what your expectations are.

Personally, I expect young men (who let's be real, probably aren't Mensa members to say the least) with expendable income and too much attention to be dickheads. Most of them are.

Smith, Ginnivan, JUH etc are just the guys dumb enough to get caught. Spend any time around Melbourne nightlife in your twenties and you'll see footballers getting up to all sorts of shit.

Should it be that way? In a perfect world, it wouldn't be. We're in agreeance there.

It's easier to stomach though when you accept that these guys shouldn't have the title of 'role model' thrust upon them. It's doing a disservice to those we should be idolizing.

Most of them don't change from the dumb teenagers they were just because they have some sponsors on their polo now, even if they should.

Its easy to send a text message. You dont even need to be the one who types it out. Its a lot harder to apologise over the phone when faking sincerity.
