I dont think it'd put him off his own game as such, more the disconnect with his teammates that could develop and hinder team performance.
From my own experiences, Ive come across people in the workforce who are brilliant operators but are self destructive to the point of being toxic and despite the rewards, not worth the effort in the end.
Sadly, he probably doesnt want to be but cant help himself.

Yes. Absolutely 100% agree with the bolded. However, what's even worse is people who think they are brilliant operators but actually mediocre at best, and are still toxic.

Not exactly. One of the charges was withdrawn, another was downgraded to second degree harrassment.
One could argue what Smith did to Wynd is classed as Harrassment too...

Reynolds is a… character, for want of a better term.
I was at the infamous ‘pussy wagon’ presser at Bathurst and he is just that same bloke when he’s not near a camera. He was back for the 12 Hour last year and I had to MC a trivia thing at the pub where I run trivia every week, they had a Motorsport specific trivia night for the revheads featuring Reynolds and his co-driver Warren Luff who was the nicest guy alive. Reynolds just didn’t give a shit what he said or who heard it. Brought up the pussy wagon thing again, the girls driving it, what he thought of their skills or lack thereof, swore just as if he was having a chat with his mates, and looking at the organisers there was a look of ‘that’s just him there’s no point trying to say ‘you can’t say this stuff’

I had him and Matty Payne sign my Penrite jacket at the Bend in '23.
At the time he already knew he was leaving the team.
I said, can you and Matty sign my jacket Davo, he looks at Matt and says, **** it, why not.
They both laughed.

Get a grip mate, there is nothing wrong with that photo. You can’t see any of his private parts so what’s the problem? She wouldn’t need to ‘run to the media’, she IS the media.
