I know that Bailey isn't head coach now, I think it would have been better to lose Cuddles and offer Bailey the football department director job.

Feelings and emotions would probably get in the way of that working well. It would take a truly selfless man to just step aside and take up a different role in the same club.

Has Bailey shown himself to be anything other than absolutely professional and a master of his emotions?

If anyone could do it, he could. But I doubt he will get the offer, just to be on the safe side.
