I think Redan are the best side in the comp, with Sunbury not far behind.
The comp is pretty even though, see by the results on the weekend, and there could be one of these sides to sneak into the GF
hows the marsh going i havnt been out for a while
Its been how many years since Sunbury the meltons and the marsh sides went to Ballarat that you would think that they would have learnt that they are not going to get a free kick and just play the footy and win it on their own merit. Every time i have a look on here they are sooking bout the umps didn't give a free kick

It was a pretty close result first time around, so could be again. Ballarat had a loss last week and Redan beat the second placed Sunbury by 9 goals, so that would suggest Redan is in better form at the moment though...Gday fellas need a bit of inside info
A bus load of junior coaches from geelong are heading up to watch Ballarat v Redan on Sat to have look at some footy anyone got any suggestions for first goal kicker and winning margin? Cheers boys
It's not just about not getting free kicks - its about not paying marks, it's about letting cheap shots go, it's about blatant bare faced cheating.
One day you may get your wish and you may not have the Sunbury, Melton, Bacchus Marsh sides playing in the BFL - so then you can have your dream of a boutique BFL competition of 5 or 6 sides playing with themselves 3 times a during the home and away season - that would really confuse the BFL umpires.
Agree franky, this league is a farce, what happened this week is simply an injustice. Who are these tribunal fossils accountable to? If darley appeal and drew gets off, which he should, everyone should be sacked. This can not keep going on.just heard another classic example of that cheating, drew edwards from darley was given 5 weeks for a good hard bump after he was charged by the match reveiw panel aron nunn, who plays with the fella who copped the bump,he was supposedly carrying a broken jaw but he was still able to sing the ballarat fella who was picked up in the same evidence was given 1 week for elbowing edwards to the jaw before the bump with edwards it was this ballarat players second appearance in 4 weeks already copping a week off 4 weeks ago so you judge for yourself how can they blatantly cheat like that and get away with it
The ballarat football club are liars. They ask the league to investigate incidents and lie their asses off, just for their own amusement. They know that we cannot defend ourselves because the system is a joke. Only one side of the story is ever believed.Reminds me off when Callum Urch got 6 weeks a few years back for doing a FAR lot less than edwards did, against Ballarat i might add. I wasnt Urchs biggest fan but that penalty was laughable.
Watch both hits on the footage on the bfl home page and compare both. Ballarat player elbows Edwards to the jaw around the 11min mark of 2nd q. Then Edwards bumps the ballarat player at 16min mark of the same quarter. And take in to account that ballarat player Dawson was just 3 games back from a week ban. 5 to Edwards. 1 to Dawson. What a joke.just heard another classic example of that cheating, drew edwards from darley was given 5 weeks for a good hard bump after he was charged by the match reveiw panel aron nunn, who plays with the fella who copped the bump,he was supposedly carrying a broken jaw but he was still able to sing the ballarat fella who was picked up in the same evidence was given 1 week for elbowing edwards to the jaw before the bump with edwards it was this ballarat players second appearance in 4 weeks already copping a week off 4 weeks ago so you judge for yourself how can they blatantly cheat like that and get away with it
