Big game against the Steelers next week.

Could be a smokey for the Super Bowl if we manage to make playoffs. Never underestimate a January Joe Flacco.

I think we will struggle next week.

Jimmy Smith out for the year is a big loss (however we do have some competent cover this time). AB will shred us next week.

If we can beat the bengals, colts and browns then we should make the playoffs. Who know what can happen then.

I'm still not sure how to feel about the team.

This was the first team we've beaten with a record of .500 or better and the first good QB. It was also probably the first time the offense actually looked competent.

No doubt that next week will be big. If Cincy somehow manages to knock off the Steelers tomorrow on MNF, next week will ostensibly be for the division crown (as weird as that sounds given how poorly we've played at times this season)

It's been a strange season. We've been so s**t at times but every time they show play off calculator's we're always in the mix for the wild card.

Collins has been an awesome pick up this season. I thought RB was a need this coming draft but with Collins coming on, Buck and Dixon back next year I think we could be ok.

I'm slowly coming around to this thinking too. At the very least, the performance of Collins and Allen have made it a much lesser need, and making the need for a good RT and a more possession based receiver that can win jump balls more important

Yep. Completely agree. If only we could poach a good WR scout to make sure we pick the right one!o_O

Yes. I was Surprised when I heard that most teams don't have specialist positional scouts. We totally suck at drafting WR's and have for years.
Perriman doesn't have the drive to win a 1v1.... that is a core attribute for any receiver. Speed should be secondary but we appear to value it more.

I'd love us to prioritize route running for a change!

I believe our WR coach Bobby Engram was the driving force for drafting Perriman . I remember listening to D.Jerimiah's podcast one time and he was saying that involving coaches in scouting can be dangerous because they always overestimate their ability to "fix" a players flaws.

Hands and route running should be the priorities for any new WR drafted.

The last 3 WRs we've drafted on the first or second day (Chris Moore, Breshad Perriman and Torrey Smith) have all been deep threats with questionable hands, yet Flacco actually performs best when he has a WR he can rely on to make difficult catches (i.e. Derek Mason and Anquan Boldin) and those other guys just make 1-3 big plays per game

Deandre Hopkins torched him last week and we still won. So i think we can cover. I dont think we can beat the Steelers, but we beat the browns, colts and a 50/50 game with the Bengals sees us in the playoffs.
Considering most had us at around 4-6 wins the seasons been a big positive

I wouldn't be upset if our first 3 picks were all O-line.

Steelers are looking very vulnerable right now...

How many times do we have to keep losing this way before Pees gets the boot?
We’ve invested too much on D to give up 500 yards and almost 40 to lose the game.

Thank god for Collins otherwise our O would be less than nothing.

Just give Kubiak what ever he wants to come back!

Honestly I expected to get thumped. I even started the Pittsburgh defence in fantasy because of it. Losing the way we did was brutal (doubly so, since we also scored so much the defence got -1 points) but if we can keep that up for the rest of the season we might actually win a playoff game.

Nope. Our biggest needs are a new OC and DC.

RT and a possession WR are our biggest needs if you're only talking about players.

A new OC may have run the ball for all three downs when it was under 4:00 to go.
A new DC might have changed up the coverage more often to make a stop. Not even mix of zone with Brown still being manned.

Don't see the need for an RT.... not in the first 3 rounds anyway.
