Seriously, how many one day fixtures have to be ruined because of their shite weather?

I know a few QLD'ers will whinge and whine that this is a once off but they have got to stop kidding themselves.

Maybe if they insist on having games there, make them day games, try and beat the afternoon storms that seem to come in every time international cricket heads to the GABBA.

Im sick of it.

Yeah the whole state is in drought, Brisbane is in dought. But **** it, I WANT MY CRICKET, ( i just imagine you stamping your feet like a child), why don't you think that the rain might just provide more then a silly game of cricket that you'll forget in a week anyway.

But they have been in drought for years, they probably havent had a rain interruption for years and they need the rain, who cares about the cricket?

typical response, like I said in my original post, this is not the first time fixtures have been washed out at the GABBA.

The weather cannot be trusted up there to hold internationals, if the GABBA cannot get a result out of two matches during a drought then there is no chance.

Give the extra games to Perth

Some people are doing it hard in Brisbane and Queensland due to the fact that it hasnt rained substanially in this state for many years.

Now over the last 2 months the state has had some rain and you lot are daring to whinge because you miss out on watching some cricket at night.

But the locals said this is only because the drought has broken, you mean they have had other washouts during the drought years?

Got the amazing Adelaide DVD? You should check it out, I think Les Burdett can be seen giving the bird to all his critics at the end.
All i do is skip the first 4 days of cricket, just to watch the last day.

However, if i cant sleep i start watching from the first day.

:D :D :D

 it was only a matter of time for this thread.

Cricket Australia do the draws.

Cricket Australia is run by a Victorian.

Come back when MCG can find a pitch where you can bowl a bouncer that goes over head height or when Adelaide can find a pitch that both teams don't score 600 in their first innings.

The result of that Test Match does not mask the fact that the pitch was a total shocker.

If we werent playing England last years and this years test match would of ended exactly the same.

So you want a pitch where only the side who bats first can make 600 thereby ending the match before it begins?

I still think Adelaide has the best record for producing a result, I may be wrong though.
Adelaide has a great result for producing result pithes, no doubt about that. Same as there is no doubt the last two years pitches were shocking.

Rain happens so stiff shit really. If it rains in Sydney will u want their ODI's taken away, how about if it rains in Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne?

Dont get me started on Sydney ;)

Every ground will get the occasional washout, bar Adelaide it seems but the GABBA would have to be ahead of any other ground in the country.

4 out of the last 10 have been abandoned due to rain at the GABBA, compared to 1 at SCG and MCG, Adelaide, Hobart and Perth with 0

Any chance that the increase in the rain affected matches is due to the games being played later in the new year end of jan - feb, rather than when than early jan when they were played a few years ago??

Well QLD have had 2 washouts without a ball being bowled in their attempts to play T20 matches in Early January the last 2 years
