Odd that NZ are constantly playing 2 Test series (often cutting the 3rd Test at the last minute) and yet here they are playing 3 Tests against Bangladesh.
It's a good thing though, Bangladesh need the experience after that awful performance against South Africa a couple of years ago and great to see them making a decent start.

That Bangladesh pace bowling line-up screams another Latham double century. Hopefully the can emulate the inexperienced Sri Lankan bowling line-up somewhat and surprise despite their inexperience.
I know I harp on about it but if I was a batting coach and one of my batsmen got out to a Wagner short ball doing anything other than trying to avoid a well directed throat ball, I would introduce a seriously hefty fine system.

Bangladesh are going nowhere if your practically 7 down and you have your number 9 totally clueless how to get in line properly, that was a farcical finish to the innings. You need to have a fairly solid batting squad till at least your number 10 these days Mitch Starc is our number 9 by comparison.
I checked last when Mahmudullah and Liton Das were just settling in, then when I look next they're all out???

Massive let off there. Would've been a great start for Bangladesh
Their bottom 3 have played 6 test innings combined before today. Writing off their future at that point would be a tad unfair.
Notwithstanding it was an awful descent from the position Tamim had put them in

That has nothing to do with getting in line to a medium pacer. You either have the ability to do that or not.

Wow! Some tight leaves from Raval so far, definitely knows where his stumps are.
No, you get it coached into you and learn it.
These guys are brought up playing on silt-pans on the lowest pitches in the world. Expecting that they will just magically know how to get behind a bouncer that is coming at speed and not with tennis ball bounce, in their first overseas experience, is not a true test of their capability. Test cricket is littered with cases of bunnies who couldn’t defend their wicket if their life depended on it turning into decent sticklers as their batting develops.
And on the flip side probably just as many like Stuart Broad who went the other way.
Glenn McGrath is an obvious one. He couldn’t see out an over when he started and his feet were rooted in concrete. He worked at it and finished with a test 50.
In his first 54 test innings he lasted less than 10 balls 39 times.

Bangladesh have a problem in that when their fast bowlers go on their first overseas tour they rarely get a second. There would be very few tours where even 2 of their pace bowlers have stayed the same from tour to tour.
