Ironically, despite many of my posts regarding this matter having some form of trolling to them, I have a legitimate trade idea for the Yarran situation, that I think would work well for all clubs involved. I've posted it to the main board and my own board, but I'm interested to hear your thoughts.

So, how about this trade:

Richmond:

Lose - Astbury + pick 31
Gain - Yarran
New Draft Order = 12, 49, 67

Brisbane:

Lose - pick 17 + pick 39
Gain - Astbury, Bell, Casboult
New Draft Order = 2, 21, 57

Carlton:

Lose - Yarran + Bell + Casboult
Gain - pick 17 + pick 31 + pick 39
New Draft Order = 1, 17, 20, 31, 38, 39

Overall results for the 3 clubs:

- Richmond keep their 1st round pick, but fill a need in Yarran, and essentially replacing a fringe player (Astbury) with a best 22 player (Yarran).

- Brisbane gain some much needed experience to their very young list, but still maintain a presence in the Top 30, retaining 2 of their picks.

- Carlton begin their rebuild with 3 picks inside the Top 20, and another 3 picks inside the Top 40, whilst losing some experience from the list.

Yarran is a contracted player - who will help develop some of our rookies in development league in 2016, ( same year your mob of tuggers make finals and drop out week 1 - again) hard to put a value on that ..if pushed I'd say Lennon and pick 12 might be a start. Casboult is a contracted player, Ithink our list manager - the bloke your Board thinks is a nuff nuff has stated he is required player - doubt he is going anywhere..Bell is a mutually agreed friendly between Carlton and Brisbane... second rounder - because Carlton is a decent Club which treats its players well - Brisbane will do the right thing as did Geelong...

which leaves your mob of whisperers and try hards scratching around like the headless chooks you are for a trade - because Yarran says he wants to come to you...

Got news for you - no one at Carlton gives a toss about what Yarran or Richmond want.

JustaBattler's response to this very legitimate trade idea is what tells me that Carlton are completely screwed for the next 5-10 years.

I hope for your sake that SOS isn't as delusional and irrational as you lot on here are.

Holy dooly there are truly no words for the madness of Carlton supporters at the moment! :$

Nobody can point out any valid reasons why my above idea is bad.

It's literally just like you guys are sticking your head in the sand going "LALALALALALALALALALALA PICK 12 FOR YARRAN OR GTFO LALALALALALALA HE'S CONTRACTED LALALALALALALALA"

It's hilarious.

In my idea you guys would essentially be getting pick 17 for Yarran, and you've already said that Bell will be for a 2nd round pick (so there's your 31), which means you're getting 39 for Casboult, a forward who has been in the system for a number of years now, and has done SFA to be perfectly honest.

Are you arguing that Bell and Casboult are worth more? Or that Yarran is worth more than 17?

I'm genuinely lost as to why you think that above idea is bad. Is it purely because it's coming from a Richmond supporter?
