Footscray go in with a easy win against Pies while Casey had a hard fought match against Williamstown with Garland, Salem and White all hurt by the end of the game.

Dogs are a huge chance in this. The injuries have probably had a harder effect on the reserves but it's not as bad now so we should have a few AFL listed players out there. I'm also going to assume any travelling senior emergencies should have plenty of time to return from Sydney on Saturday night and be available to play Sunday afternoon.

Our club got so much better when we were granted a VFL team, Williamstown alliance was good but being able to teach players what they need to do in AFL level has made a smoother transition when players have come in. Several players playing twos that wouldn't be out of place in the ones is testament to that
