Actually, Scott, that excerpt gives credence to what bee dee has said here.
It refers to Barham as a 'recruiting consultant'. Not 'recruiting manager' which is what I believe his title to have been these past few years.
Except (if you read his other threads) bee dee is making predictions, not reporting facts. Unfortunately I just checked and only one of his recruiting managers to be sacked threads is still alive (Beveridge to be removed at St Kilda). All the others have been removed in the last 24 hours.
Why would a Port supporter come onto a Swans board and report a fact, dating back to November 29th? Particularly with the title 'Barham Gone'.
As I said he mixes fact with fiction.
"Will be a consultant only with Beatson put in by Ireland, old mates"
To me that implies two things;
Barham will be replaced (not that he already has a new title and that Beatson is already on board) and secondly that the move is made because of Beatson's/Ireland friendship, not because Beatson is a well credentialled recruiter, who will add value to the Swans.
If this was bee dee's only post I'd give him some leeway, but he has 'priors'.
Make no mistake, Barham (rightly or wrongly) is still intimately involved in draft decisions. Not only was D.O'Keefe a Barham choice, but Roos himself has said, in relation, to Tueasday's rookie draft that
"The decision on who we select is up to Stuey (Stuart Maxfield) and Rick (Rick Barham) and all the recruiting guys," Roos told sydneyswans.com.au.

I know bee dee's reputation as well as anybody. I don't particularly care whether he/she/it has gotten a scoop or not. I think you're missing the point.
I'm simply interested in Barham. The excerpt you posted indicates that his position at the club has decreased in importance. It appears that Beatson and Maxfield will now divide Barham's old role between them, and Barham is no longer a permanent employee at the club.
