Both have been outstanding, but before his injury Barlow was easily in the top 10-20 players in the league.

I think Sandilands was a big factor, but he was still RIGHT up there.

Podsiadly has been good, but not quite as good as barlow.

I wonder if your opinion would change if they switched clubs?

It's too hard to tell, they are very different players. But I will say that JPod has played at a high level for many seasons now and has been down at many AFL clubs so I would imagine that the step-up into playing AFL would not be too difficult compared to other players.
Meanwhile, Barlow was playing country football just 2 years ago. How he has just stepped up and performed so well (an elite midfielder) is incredible. There is no coincidence between Fremantle's great form and Barlow's arrival.

Barlow stepped right into a young side and majorly contributed to their rise to the top 4. his value to fremantle cannot be under-stated. everything he does is quality.

pods has been extremely good for geelong, yet he is playing in one of the best teams of all time. the delivery has been quality, but his contested marking has been No.1 in the league.

going to say barlow. if he played in victoria, they'd be saying he's better than judd.

Barlow for mine. He carried Fremantle (while he was fit).

Pods is good, would love him at the Crows, but he get's it on a silver platter from Geelongs mid.

Quite simple really. Barlow was about the best player in the comp for this season until he broke his leg. Pods is a a freak for a old fella. I am still amazed he wasn't discovered along time ago

no i didnt mean to compare them, i phrased it wrong. I meant that podsiadly looks like such a complete forward, and while barlow looks good and will be a great player IMO, he is not a complete midfielder, basically his kicking skills let him down a bit

Impossible to compare. For a midfielder, Barlow gets up and kicks goals. Podsiadly is a fantastic forward, and Barlow is a fantastic midfielder.

Everything he does is understated. He's very unfasionable.

Looks slow but is infact quick, kicks don't look dangerous but are nearly always effective.

As far as impact for their respective sides. Barlow takes the cake.
