I mean I was literally posting about this at the time of his personal scandal.

SMH have sheepishly covered some of the Taylor/family water theft stuff before and Barnyards shady involvement in dodgy allocations and buybacks was well beyond the point of rumours amongst the Nationals. I'm still of the opinion, as I was with the personal scandal, that it was being sat on because Turnbull was Primeminister and he had his tentacles both into The Guardian and Fairfax via personal connections.

By the time he was deposed and Barnyard stepped out of the limelight, it wasn't news. A few intrepid independent journos digging through the financials after the die offs early this year, have started to expose some of the wrongdoing. I guess election time is a good time for a genuine corruption scandal to get some legs.

Country people really are doing themselves no favours in combating the stereotype that they're uneducated hicks, if they keep voting for such an odious, self-serving and possibly corrupt clown.
Honestly, it's cultural stubbornness.

You just vote Nationals, that's what you do. Neither the Libs nor Labor will make inroads in most seats. The Greens have a shot in a couple of NSW and Queensland seats over the next cycle as they become less rural and more filled with Bougie early retirees.

Strong, local independent candidates are the only thing that's going to depose a lot of these crooks. And some of the Nationals members are pretty good on rural issues, despite the leadership of the party being shithouse.

That is one of the most extraordinary interviews I have ever heard.

He seems to be completely out of his mind.

Last week James McGrath, this week Joyce.

The ravings of two complete jokes of human beings, who should NEVER have been elevated to public office in the first place, realising that their entire bullshit edifice is falling down around their ears.

This fool should be voted out at the next election.

In regards to "Watergate" I am sooo tired of journalists being used by pawns by those who have info to leak, to create an atmosphere of crisis right before an election.

There should be journalistic standards whereby - OK whistleblower/relevant person, you have this info that should be exposed - but how long have you had access to it, and why has it not been disclosed sooner?

so your issue isnt with corruption, its that whistleblowers allow the public to learn about the corruption

are you officially just a parody account now?

No. My separate issue, to that of whatever occurred in relation to this water purchase, is the use of "drip feeding info" to journalists for political purposes.

Anyway, this issue is a great example of how carbon/water/whatever trading is ripe for abuse. The Government handing over tens of millions of dollars for...nothing? To somehow save the environment?

Totally bonkers. This is what big Government, sticking its head in where it shouldn't, creates. This is what environmental panic creates.

Labor, Labor, Labor, Labor, Labor, Labor, Labor, Labor, Labor, Labor. Probably on speed (we'll be told after he's left parliament some day; media: "we had to respect his family").
