Can we rate Barnard in Essendon's top ten dan ? I heard commentators say he would be likely for trade if there were salary cap problems.

And should Hawks be lucky enough to win against port (A huge feat if they can achieve it, winning interstate in a final) then Smithy would be a good defender for Barnard, Jon Hay would likely be on Hird (or maybe crawford if we were that stupid again :-} )

Barnard would be very close to Essendon's top 10, if not, in it! I'd expect him to be pushed forward and even out at half-forward.

I don't think McGrath will be recalled though. I'd expect Moorcroft to come straight back in. I'm not certain if we can play Rioli and Moorcroft both forward at the same time, but Moorcroft will be more than useful off the bench.

We have the goal kicking power to cover Lloyd.
