Would he be light heavyweight or heavyweight?
There's Cruiserweight between LHW and HW which is a 200lb limit. He could maybe make that but there would be more fights at HW and you donlt have to worrying about making weight.

If he really want a title the CW would be easier.

I will put money on it that he get KO,d sooner rather than later.
Sure he can throw a good punch at some one who doesn't expect it and doesn't throw a punch back, but lets see how he goes when he can expect another Punch coming his way.
So over all these try hard Ausies Boxers who fight bums to climb the ladder only to get KO,d once they fight some one who knows how to fight..

Bit clueless this one.

You do realise he fought in the ring as an amateur right? So he knows a few things about the sport right?

I have been following Boxing almost all my life and have seen some great boxers out there, but this past decade all we have seen is Bums like Mundine, Green, Sonny boy that come out of Australia.

I wont be bought into the whole Hall can fight and will be a good boxer talk like every one else out there.
So what if he had a few Amateur fights, I have too but means nothing if you havent fought in over a decade. He will get on a 10 fight winning streak by knocking out bums and then come up againts a half ass so called champion of a pretend title and probably win it and every one will call him the greatest.
The only way i can take him or any Australian boxer out there seriously is if they fought top contedors in the states and not just the local boys on Australian Turf.

Perhaps getting him in the right camp would help him out.

Have blokes like Lewis, Barry Michael and Fenech around. Get him in the best gym in Australia. Give him everything he needs to succeed.

sony bill has had 3 fights against blokes that let him just punch the shit out of them. i don't take his fighting career seriously.

if barry hall can get lewis to train him, gee you never know. lewis says he can fight and i would trust his judgement on fighters

It's funny how North supporters bring up Hall punching a no-name reserves player at every opportunity. But then glorify a woman-bashing coke addict.

Pretty sure that pic was when he started at the doggies, however he always has prepared at 110% and I see no reason he wont for his fighting career..
I think he will go ok but he has left his run a bit late, we wont see the best of what he would have had to offer if he started earlier.
He'll walk through the Australian Heavy weight division. 4 years too late to do anything decent internationally. Mind you Vitali Klitschko goes alright and I think he's ticked over 40 now.

Well it is a thread about Hall punching people..... so yeah, funny that.
It's actually about his boxing career, so you'd do well to leave the trolling and sooking at the door because it's not a good look.

This thread isn't about North Melbourne or the Bulldogs, believe it or not.

Barry left his run too late, 34 years of age is too late to make his
mark internationally - so I guess that leaves an Aussie title.
Not sure thats even a massive accomplishment with the current state
of Aussie boxing - especially heavyweights, Bob Mirovich was champion
for a while and he is 40-50 and a hack.

Hall shouldve quit footy when he left Sydney if he was serious about boxing,
I expect Barry to take 2 years to face relative competition.

He doesnt seem to be cashing out, I give him that.
And, considering he knocked back massive offers in the past,
when maybe financially he wouldve been wise to take them,
Id be leaning towards Hall not been in boxing for the coin, which is good.
Halls old man was a boxing trainer, so Barry will win fights,
has had a great grounding for the art, shame he didnt switch earlier.

Boxing IS punching people...

I know it's not about any clubs, I just pointed out another player that Barry had decked when playing. Look back through my posts and tell me where I was trolling.

A former footballer, known to have boxing skills, and with a chequered career, who's been moved on by two clubs partly due to onfield issues with discipline, starts a boxing career and it's trolling to ask questions about whether he can cut it against real opponents?

The only trolling is being done by posters talking aboiut girlfriend bashing and glassing.
