Hey guys, from an opposition supporters perspective, it's great to see a player with so much passion for his club and the jumper.

He's an absolute ripper and I wish we had him.

I remember Brett Montgomery did a similar thing in one game for the Doggies back in the late 90s, and it made my hair stand on end.

It was great to see his passion, especially since he did it without fuss, rather than the posing knobends who cynically turn to the crowd before doing such things (see Kyle Reimers and Dale Thomas).

It was clearly a sign of unplanned passion, and as well know, that's the best kind of passion ;)

It's a small thing and I guess as a soccer fan I'm probably overblowing it, but it still made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and it just reinforces just how much the club actually means to him. :thumbsu:

Well said.

It was great to see and you could see him trying to pump up his team mates after kissing the jumper.

I watched it about 10 times last night and my fiance was wondering what the hell I was doing! Couldn't help it though, like others have said you don't see it much in the AFL and it was bloody inspirational.:thumbsu:

Tremendous player, none tougher or fairer in the league. Great kick, great mark. Just wish he'd tighten up his disposals by 10% or so. Then again I'll take him as he is.

While we're at it, Joel Selwood continues to impress with his in and unders - amazing for his size and experience.

Re: Jimmeh...

He seems like a pretty down to earth bloke. Apparently his team mates get shitty with him at training because he's too physical LoL!

Again, Bigfooty could come into play - all the guys on here that have a man crush on Jimmy could offer their services in being the tackle bag.

May have to get in line behind Cometh though ;)

Heh, your fiancé's getting worried about playing second fiddle to Jimmeh!!:D

“People think just because we’ve won a few this year we don’t get excited about winning, [but] you know, it means everything to us.”

That's good enough for me, Mr Jim.

I think even Selwood has a man crush on Jimmeh with the massive bearhug he gave him after the siren. How cute :D:D

I can't recall ever seeing that before with an AFL footballer (happy to be corrected on this). It happens ALL THE TIME in soccer but the difference with those selfish mercenaries is that they usually don't mean it (normally it's just so they get their picture in the tabloids and on the net).

It was a great thing to see from a great player. :thumbsu:

The post-goal celebration was the sort of stuff more frequently seen on soccer fields on the other side of the world – which is somewhat ironic given the rate at which top-flight players in that code change clubs in the pursuit of cash and trophies.

Hi Ben

Yeah I read that and immediately thought of this very thread.

It was literally a 'LOL'.

Saw Jimmy and Joel down supporting the reserves earlier this year. Great team men. People like that make our team strong.
