Re: Bartel has a double-break in his arm

Well I read your post and I can't see the word alleged in that either, I see the word might.

Wendy
Are you that thick?

"might" "apparently" "alleged".... all have similar meanings....you are missing the point.

"bartel might have a broken arm"

"bartel apparently has a broken"

"bartel is alleged to have broken his arm"

ARE ALL DIFFERENT TO

"Bartel HAS broken his arm!"

Re: Bartel has a double-break in his arm

What happened? I just finished work.

Jimmy was in a clash (dunno with who) and got himself injured. Listening to the MMM webcast Doc Larkins first reported a double-break of his arm. Then a minute later it was reported that an ambulance was on its way.
And then Bartel gets wheeled past Doc Larkins in a neck brace, on oxygen, and wearing a neck brace.

Of course, now its an inflammation of the nerve on Bartel's arm and a very groggy head. More to come as it happens

Well, what do we have here? Rooke will be out, Bartel will most likely be out, we'll have two possies open. Prismall & Callan?

Exactly. You see why I hate people starting shit without any evidence.
Yeah, that is a little funny, and annoying. Jimmy has nerve damage to his neck, which ran down his arm (tingling and numbness). So he had to have his arm in a sling to lessen the extent of movement, i.e. pinching the nerve ending again etc.

So Unless there is an xray or CT scanner in GFC clubrooms, no one would know otherwise.

Ahhh, someone from the Geelong bench told Doc Larkins that he had a double-break in his arm.

In related news, it appears Jimmy had an (alleged) allergic reaction to pethadine injection.

Strike that pethadine rumour. He had no painkillers whatsoever administered in the rooms, and no allergic reaction.

I think we were all victims of dodgy info provided by the radio stations...poor journalism really.

I was getting very worried listening to people around me saying he has a double break in his arm, turns out it isn't so bad, hope he is back soon :thumbsu:

They showed the inciredent which they thought it may have happened in it.
Going back with the flight sort and a Swans players chest collided with the side of his head/neck/arm. Something like that
Didn't look to serious.. Who knows with neck injuries though.

Wouldn't worry too much about having Bartel and Rooke out as u will smash us next week.
Maybe rest Gary Ablett and Chapman and u still should do us by 10 goals

Yeah that was it, Spida was the man he ran into. Typical Jimmy though, running back with the flight of the ball but straight into the big fella.

It was a weird collision, hopefully his neck is ok and he can maybe play next week or the following one.

Bartel was taken to hospital at half time, and apparently has improved in the past hour or so. Only mentioned to be "in doubt"

d-mac don't sell yourselves short, the Dons vs Cats game is always a good one, especially at the dome.

With our latest bunch of injuries you guys may luck in, who knows. Strong, contested and inspired footy will win on the day, it won't be that easy.

Yeah i know we seem to lift another notch when we play the good sides and crap against the bottom sides. But if we play like we did last night u will definitely smash us.

I'd like to see Hawkins at the Dome next week. Losing Jimmy is huge and he should be back soon but Essendon are not renowned for their midfield, and I think extra height in the forward line will stretch them.
