Bartel Radio interview - INTERESTING!

In a radio intrerview tonight Bartel made two interesting comments:
1. Maloney hasnt bothered to contact him despite the fact they were mates.
but more interestingly
2. He was asked whether he remembered if he was touched at all by him and claimed that he didn't remember 'but to my credit, if i was going to fall over and whack my head like that, i'm pretty sure i'd have stretched my arms out to break my fall'.

I agree - I too presumed Moloney would have called Bartel. I was really impressed by Matty Lloyd calling Josh Thurgood to see how he was going, and they have never played together or had any sort of friendly relationship - it was simply the right, dare I say gentlemanly, thing to do.

Its sort of the unwriten code in football that if your are sincerly sorry, you usually call the player that was in the incident isnt it?

This is what I was thinking, but didn't bother arguing on the main board, as I knew it probably wouldn't get me anywhere.

You'd think in that situation going down arms in front of you, you'd be able to break your fall. How many players have been concussed by the turf going headfirst for the ball on the ground? Usually it's after taking a mark and falling hard, or being hit by another player.

Some good news though, sounds like he'll be right to play from what I heard on the radio this morning.

Thats great, i'm abit annoyed i dropped him from my dream team now. I hope he goes out and has a ripper of a game
