It was a disgusting commentary performance from all concerned and it was a biased call all round.

Frankly if we want to get Big Nose off the air, let's get condescending turd (Luke Darcy) off the air as well

Not quite that, it was more whether Hill coming on at that exact moment was a legal interchange - I don't think I've ever wanted to clock a commentator more than when he was insinuating that the orange flag should have been waved and then his very disappointed "I guess it must have been OK"...

As others have mentioned, he's a dreadful commentator no matter who is playing, and particularly with Hamish McLachlan they always seem 5 seconds behind the play and full of ridiculous non sequiteurs.

To make things even worse, the club had the absolute gall to make him the MC for last year's Doig Medal! We've had Dixie Marshall, Michael Thomson and Dean Clairs over the years without incident, so why we ended up with Basil I'm not sure. The funny thing was the almost total lack of laughter at any of his "gags" and the general derision in the room - priceless

If my info is correct flog-face no-knows is also the MC at Freo's official 20 year function this weekend. Anyone confirm?

Really, really poor choice by the club front office on both counts - unless they are looking to fire up members and have a riot...

Channel 7 should hire me. I have a pleasant radio voice & they'll finally have someone who'll get overly excited at anything about Freo.

He is THE worst footy commentator, bar none.
He should be doing tv shows like the one where the capsicum is against the tomato in the cooking show (sorry don't know the name), if he HAS to be on tv.
Obviously, it would be best if he entered a monastery and had to take a vow of silence.
I WON'T listen to him commentate ever again. If he is "calling", I mean barracking against us on tv, I'll hit the mute button.
If that snapper is ever hired to host any of our club functions, I'd love for the fans to put their hands over their ears whenever he spoke to show the club that we don't want him anywhere near us.

Probably from about 10 years ago when he used to do some pre-game or halftime bulldust. Everyone would ignore or boo him.

Don't mind Basil to be completely honest, without him the footage of Hill's "off the interchange" goal would be half as good and memorable.
