Golding getting the penalty but crossing the line first just diminished the event just by the slightest smidge. If he won fair and square then we can talk about greatest Bathurst race of all time.I reckon it was.
4 cars in it right until the end, conditions horrific
Yeah why not, i mean he ran Payne off the road tooi assume premiair will protest too. it wont get them anywhere but i assume they chance it
Nah it's not the best race i've seen ?Nah but close.
The Brad Jones car remembered it was at BathurstCan someone explain WTF went on in the battle for 5th/6th/7th?
The last thing I knew, Heimgartner was holding off Feeney by fractions of a second for multiple laps, with Hill a couple of seconds behind. However, the race results show Hill beating Feeney by 3.5 seconds, Heimgartner another 3 seconds further back.
Must have been some serious shenanigans going on in the last few turns. I don't blame the producers for not showing it, given the battle which was going on at the front. I'm just curious to know WTF happened to completely upend those positions.
Last i saw was Feeney lunging at Murrays on Andre but getting re-passed up pit straight but yeah, would like to watch Broc's onboard from when he got back on the lead lap to the endCan someone explain WTF went on in the battle for 5th/6th/7th?

He'll do well to finishThe amount of control the top 3 had in the weather was insane. (For the most part)
Good luck to Cindric in Adelaide. He’ll need it.
That last lap cost Heimgartner a spot in the finals, and gifted Allen a spot. Can someone explain WTF went on in the battle for 5th/6th/7th?

For a while there, it looked as if Murray was going to claim the golden ticket (by winning the Enduro Cup) - thereby forcing both Heimgartner AND Allen to miss out. That last lap cost Heimgartner a spot in the finals, and gifted Allen a spot.
After what happened to Kai all day today, he earned it.
WAU getting Woody's car back out at the end also gave him a spot.
Yeah, Broc made a pretty decent charge up through the field after the last SC. I think he picked up 6 or 7 places, and got to within 0.3 seconds of Heimgartner for 5th - but couldn't find a way past Andre. Then whatever happened in the last few corners happened...Last i saw was Feeney lunging at Murrays on Andre but getting re-passed up pit straight but yeah, would like to watch Broc's onboard from when he got back on the lead lap to the end
Funnily enough it’s one of the only artificial things/rules that I don’t mind.Still not a fan of the lucky dog scenario.
Yes I get its a made for TV thing that has as many cars back on the lead lap as possible.... but bring back the good old days where you had to fight your way back instead of being gifted it.
The Great Race was a great race.First one I’ve missed in awhile, would seem I’ve missed a good one.
Who would’ve thought that Stanaway would bin it in the wet?Payne and Tander to storm through in the rain, maybe Stanaway if Morris doesnt bin it first
