Is anyone around here still on this game regularly?

Wouldn’t mind finding a group/squad to roll with as most of my mates have phased off of BF1 these days.

I still froth at it.

I’m on ps4 btw.

psn: cuzzybrah

I play once or twice a week at random times but it's basically the only game I play.

I don't use a mic, I'm a terrible shot, but I'm a good team/squad mate

when's that incoming ?
Sometime Next month.
Also this via twitter:
Hey #Battlefield fans. Many of you have been asking about the release date of #BF1 Turning Tides: North Sea. The team hasn't announced an ETA yet, but stay tuned. It's coming soon. EA is currently working on the update notes and the upcoming livestream. Hang tight!

They've still got to release the rest of Turning Tides. Strange they're already talking about Apocalypse.

The base game was too small and they took too long to release DLCs, way too much wind taken out of their sails.

I think now they're realising what they did wrong and they're rushing everything out.

Pretty much, they tried to extend the games life as long as possible spreading out the DLC’s, but ideally it would’ve been great to have them almost straight away. The new maps are awesome but hardly anyone plays them after a few weeks.

I quite don't agree with this. It's been out nearly a year and a half and it's still pretty easy to get a full server, even on non new released maps. I think the declining interest has been way overstated. As for the base game, it had the same amount of maps as BF4 on release, it only lacked the number of weapons/attachments and a large number of weapons don't make a small game big.

That said, the release schedule was odd. 6 months for 4 maps, then another 2 maps, then 3 months for another 6 maps, then 3 months for another 2, then another 2, then supposedly 5. Looks like they've focused more on fixing bugs, tweaking configurations and adding other features which has made their map releases look like a bit of a cluster ****.

Just as an interesting comparison, as I said above, after as year and a half (including a few breaks to play other games) I'm still playing BF1 and am likely to for another 2-3 months at least. I started playing BF4 after all the maps were released and I was bored with it within 4-6 months. I think it definitely helps to stagger releases of maps to prolong the game (as well as generally being required from a time/development point of view). Sure. it seems great to have them all at once (or close together) but it generally means you'll get bored of it quicker - human nature these days.

It would be nice for it to be a bit more consistent but we've ended up/will end up with 5 more maps than we initially expected. Can't complain too much.

I agree with this.

The game was getting stale 3 months after release and was begging for DLC leaks at minimum but we only got crickets.

Then along came PUBG and absolutely decimated the PC Battlefield community. They couldn't have timed their run any better.

I haven't touched BF1 since April and have a completely wasted season pass...

Turning tides-North Sea Update...
Finally the Hellriegel will be nerfed...

Apocolypse DLC apparently out today.

https://www.battlefield.com/en-gb/games/battlefield-1/apocalypse

3 Infantry maps - Passchendaele, Caporetto, River Somme
2 Air Assault maps - Razor's Edge, London Calling

Will check it out later if I get time.

Feels a bit rushed, but kinda glad as Turning Tides has been fairly average. The two maps from the Gallipoli campaign (Cape Helles and Achi Baba) were awesome but Heligoland Bight and Zeebrugge were a pile of shit.

Not a fan of the air assault maps, probably because I suck balls

Off subject I am now level 50 on support so I have maxed out all 4 main types so am looking for a challenge, anyone else playing on Xbox one as all of my game play to date has been solo so looking to join a squad

I’m SCOWNY101
