not sure whether to purchase this or just wait for something else on the PS4

GET IT!

Don't let the crash posts etc. put you off....i've literally had the game crash on me once and on Aussie servers which are appearing for me now (near launch they weren't) there's basically no lag whatsoever (only when yanks etc. join server which is rare) and i have terrible net.

The game is amazing imo and a must buy for shooter fans.

PAdman jee I thought I was bad!(no offense ) :p
To be fair, I haven't been able to stay in a server for more than 2 minutes without it crashing. I'll spawn in, unload a clip into someone they'll look me in the eye and one shot kill me. Repeat two or three times and then the game will crash.

Yesterday I joined the server, spawned, got killed as someone was shooting through me at this point in time which it turned out to be the game winning kill and then the game crashed telling me I have no internet.

If K/D was the only meaningful measure then the game would be really boring. There's always someone quicker on the trigger, with a better connection or with better hacks (we all know who I'm looking at, right?).

I managed to crack Top 5 global for Repair Tool Kills in BF3. Picko did something similar with the paddles. Each to their own, but nothing made me enjoy the game more than a match where I got about 20 kills with the Repair Tool and I had a guy from the other team message me along the lines of "I don't know what you're doing or how you're doing it, but keep doing it because the guys in my squad are screaming every time you kill them!"

Played a fair bit of conquest last night, did laugh that the main battles on most maps occur in the areas they use for Domination mode. Pity my share button has downs, went on a rampage on Zavod, hanging around C & D flag (where Dom is set up for those that dont play it) and managed to finish 3rd despite joining roughly 5 minutes late.

Game definitely runs smoother on Domination though, don't think EAs servers are coping well with 64 player games. Lots of rubber banding and some slight lag and slow down. Fix that and I'll play a lot more Conquest.

Finally got into a China Rising match, Dragon Pass map is ridiculously huge but it was almost unplayable due to the rubber banding.

Had a few abusive messages throughout the night too, took me back to the Battlefield 2: Modern Combat days on 360 :D

Strange, haven't had any rubber banding or lag issues on the CQ maps, including the China Rising maps

I've had a bit of rubber banding in the past but i may have been on Asian servers.
I'll need to try it out again with a guaranteed Aussie server now that they're always coming up.

In saying that though i much prefer the dom game mode so that will likely always be my mode of choice.

How are the China rising maps on dom wii?

The resort level and dragon pass the ones i was having trouble on. Reading the forums it seems the resort is well known for its rubber banding on conquest large. Dragon Pass was laggy but that didn't surprise me, it was full of foreigners, AUS servers are empty.
