Big Footy meet up at the cricket on the hill? I will be the bloke with the burgandy back pack and the crows cap. Reasonably chubby with very loud voice. We can actually discus importnat issue properly - real crows AND rebacks fans are hard to find. CG at leat I know what the back of your head looks like

Haha, ahh good luck with that!

Don't think I'll go after all (damn year 12). I was looking forward to seeing Shaun Tait but I guess that will have to wait until next time :(

Working too early tomorrow to make a decent day of it down there today. Of course one of the few times I dont go the Redbacks go half decent

not going too well now guys:

Bushrangers 224/2 off 41 Overs chasing 239

not a great start to the season for us

I can't envisage any possible circumstance in which this Redback's team would ever bowl a first class side out twice. Maybe Taity on a GABBA green top.

At best we might be able to fluke a few one day wins

You went? Sat on the hill?

Yeah it was rubbish wasn't it. We are trash.

Yeah, i was there.

Knew we were ****ed when called our batting powerplay, and followed it up with something like a Wicket Maiden.

Having so many batters left to come, but not even tyring to hit out... its inexcusable.

Yeah I have absolutely NO idea why they batted so conservatively during overs 35-45 when they had a heap of wickets in the shed and a PP. They should've got at least 280 instead they made it so easy for them.

Oh and I forgot to add, probably the worst bowling line-up ever assembled? When Cosgrove is #4 on the board you know you're in strife.

Cricket in SA is in a bad state.

Stems back to too many teams in Grade comp and the players "making it" not on talent but connections. Have seen it where a young kid of about 16-18 doesnt make a state side but another one does due to his parents/connections. This puts him off. Then the bloke with the talent sits in the lower grades as he takes up full time work and cant train as much.

I know of a few guys around the mid 20s now who could of made it at the top level, and better natural talent but at that crucial 16-18 age mark were overlooked on squads, and were not overlooked based on talent. Till that is fixed, something Rod Marsh tried to do, SA cricket will be stuck in a vacumm.

Our last player to debut and then go on to average more than 35 in Sheild cricket is Greg Blewitt. Goes to show that a generation of SA born and bred batsman have come in and done nothing. Bowling a bit stronger, mainly due to Tait. But try and find a genuine quick in the Grade comp. There are not many coming through at all.

our 2ndXI are struggling too: at tea on Day 1 up in Sydney NSW are 225/2. Cossie and Bails are our wicket takers.

not a great start to the season

i don't claim to be an expert, and sure 2nd XI isn't always there to win

BUT and a ****ING GREAT BUT!!!! why would the states only leggy bowl just 15 overs when a part timer has bowled 9, the allrounder has bowled 13 ????????

Anyone give us a chance of even drawing the 4 dayer starting tomorrow?

My only hope is that the Vics bowling doesn't look the strongest without Siddle or Mgain so they may be unable to bowl us out twice.

If Tait, Rofe and Cullen have an on match we're a possibility of taking 20 wickets.

Don't like the look of the batting order though, would much prefer Cooper or Cosgrove to Plant.

Mullins, Pascoe, Borgas, Nobbes... all growing stale in their respective Grade sides A grades, why not fast track them... let them play a few in the seccond Xi, Good to see Tim Davey getting a gig first match, lets see Smith make some runs
