The bloke is pathetic.
One of the most naturally gifted batsman in the country and he's pissing his talent up against the wall. He doesn't care, obviously.

No work ethic, and his national career is looking down the toilet.
He's even fatter than he was when they told him to go and lose weight the first time.

The problem is that he just doesnt care, he knows that the redbacks will be crazy to not play him and I think he thinks that he has already missed the boat with the aussies so he will now just live off piss and mcdonalds and just get reasonable money with the redbacks and continue to not give a shit.
I know someone in the cricket circles that said that he was told to maintain his weight and came back 10 kilos heavier than the weight they wanted him at (when he was suspended due to his weight). He didnt apparently get down anywhere close to his goal weight either, but they just realised it was too hard and just eventually put him back in the side.
The guy has talent to burn, but no work ethic which will most probably mean that he will always be good enough for the redbacks but wont do much else because he has no interest putting in the effort to do so.

Another poor season on offer from the Redbacks it seems. Can anyone tell me why Callum Ferguson cant get a game? Surely he is better than Adcock and the 2 Borgas boys?

Ferg might have struggled a bit of recent times, but he's a shitload better than some of the blokes in the top order there.
He's talented, but a little weak mentally. Still easily make my XI.
Yeah. Hes the most annoying player in the redbacks team because you see him play some absolute class shots then get out stupidly. He needs to put more value on his wicket and learn to grind out runs when its not working for him.
Also uniting the Hussey brothers at international level.

He is a dud was shown up clearly last year. At least Deitz holds his own and usually gets a few runs. What are they thinking? Why do they continually give Manou a go.....bloody hell!!
Not to mention bloody cosgrove! Seriously the kid is nothing and should be dropped if he has put on weight and stuff. Just drop him for the year tell him not to come back until he has lost weight and smartens up.
Even if we keep losing i don't care.
I actually signed up as a redback member the last 2 years - not very good value if you ask me. Although it is only $50 and you get a few freebies.

A few thoughts...
What is the status on Tom Plant and Callum Ferguson? Plant certainly deserves a look in at opener - did he not make 100+ in grade cricket in the last game? We needed Ferg to step in and kick asses over the last two seasons and he hasn't delivered, but I'm keeping faith in him too.
It's tough to do a massive clean out... we don't have a lot else on offer. The likes of James Smith, Corey Knight are talented juniors... but so are/were the guys who form the bulk of the side at the moment - Cossie, C. Borgas, Bailey, Cullen, Plant, Ferguson all went through together. We may have to stick it out with that group instead of getting rid of everyone every time we embarass the state.
It's also interesting to note that three of the current support coaches spent a long time with a lot of those players through State juniors and school cricket. I don't know if that's such a healthy scenario.
I was on the C. Borgas for skipper wagon earlier, and I'm not ready to leap off yet.
