Anyone watching season 3 of True Detective?

Still not sure what to make of it yet even after 4 episodes in - Ali is great and Dorf isn't too bad either, but I kinda feel like the case is almost irrelevant. I know the characters built the other 2 seasons, but they were still actually investigating something, this one feels like it's more of a story just about Ali's character.

Has a twist so yeah keep watching

Is anyone else on the Bay here dorky enough to watch Picard when it debuts on Amazon Prime here in a couple of weeks like I am? Also Amazon's original content is pretty underrated, loved Good Omens and Carnival Row was also decent, although I need to re-watch it again to make sense of several of its WTF moments
