That came from Bay 11 or 12. And that was one person, not an entiore bay.

Bay 13 helps make the games more exciting because like it or not, people go to One Dayers to have fun and one of the reasons One Dayers have a reputation for being fun is because of Bay 13.

Everybody blames everything that goes wrong on Bay 13, which is complete rubbish. People throw stuff in the air in the Olympic stand. People get kicked out all round the Southern Stand. People fight in the Ponsford Stand. Bay 13 is used as a scapegoat

Noone is singling anyone out, but assuming you do join in the throwing stuff in the air, you only have yourselves to blame for why the mexican wave has been banned and alcohol has been restricted. If people didn't abuse or take advantage of being allowed to do things that are fun and entertaining, we would all be still allowed to do them.

You'll find most people go to the cricket to have fun but the majority of people are sensible enough to show respect to others around them while still having a good time.

BTW, as far as I know, the players are the ones that make the games exciting, and if you think otherwise then you're kidding yourself.

So the other bays all have Bay13 envy hey!!

It's just that when there is talk of matches not even being played there or that they wont sell beer to people that everyone has to look at how they behave as individuals.

It isn't fair to stereotype everyone who sits in a certain area of the ground, but if people want to have the cricket in Melbourne, they at least have to behave LEGALLY.

I never said it was the crowd that made the games exciting, I said it contributed to the excitement of one dayers and it does.

And secondly, I along with 90% of Bay 13 don't throw stuff in the air during Mexican waves. And can I say again that if you knew Bay 13 well, you would know that Bay 13 does not even start Mexican waves. Occasionally a couple of kids might try too, but the regulars don't join in and Mexican waves are never started from there

Im not defending the people that throw stuff in the air, but Im saying that is definetely a minority and that the people in Bay 13 should not be blamed for everything that goes wrong. Last year when Warne had to come out on the ground coz of the stuff on the ground, the papers blamed Bay 13, when the whole thing started coz the Indians were unhappy about the scoreboard messing up a third umpiring decision. They threw stuff on the ground to protest the decisions and the papers said Bay 13 and surrounding areas were to blame.

I can't understand why the Bay 13 regulars are complaining when other people refer to bay 13. when they say bay 13, they are generally talking the whole lower deck of the Southern stand from the start to about he sightscreen. You will find that is where most of the 'troublemakers'.

I think the people who sit in that general area and complain shouldn't be sitting there. There's a whole lot more ground to sit at rather than to sit in that area and not expect your good time to be disrupted by hooligans.
